Povetkin is on the same level as Ibragimov and Chagaev and better than Peter, Rahman, Lyakhovich, Maskaev etc.

But I think both he and Sultan will be brutally KOed by Wlad, who is clearly better than the other heavyweights at present.

Wladimir by brutal KO, via the right hand. Heavyweights simply dont move enough these days, Povetkin included.

Give the guy some credit and until Wlad actually beats Povetkin you cannot be so sure of your prediction.
Povetkin isn't some crude operator like Sam Peter either.
He is an accomplished fighter with a stellar amateur career.
I'm not saying Wlad won't beat him but I wouldn't be surprised if Povetkin actually won a close decision.
To simply write Povetkin off as some nobody is ignorant.

If he beats Wlad, I'll be the first to admit that I'm wrong. And don't get me wrong, I am definitely (LL) not saying that he is a nobody. He did have an excellent amateur career and had an excellent career as a pro so far.

He would be competitive with many fighters and some champions today. All I'm saying, is that it is way too early for him to fight Wlad. His conditioning needs work, and he leaves himself way too open for an accurate puncher. Add to it that Wlad is not only accurate but also packs a strong punch in both hands, and you have a recipe for defeat. It's just too early for him, that's all.

          Wlad by TKO.

Povetkin has had an excellent amateur career topped off with a gold metal, Wlad matches your excellent amateur career topped off with a gold metal and raises you several inches, 20 lbs, faster hands, faster feet, more power, a better trainer, a jack hammer jab.......... I can go on.

Yeah, but you failed to mention the intangibles. Povetkin is a fighter, Klitschko is a prettyboy masquerading as a fighter. Povetkin was obviously not in shape for the fight against Chambers and we could all see that he had to reach down very deep to maintain his high work rate. Klitschko, on the other hand, has shown in the past that he collapses like a house of cards when facing a bit of adversity. Povetkin wants to fight and he wants to win. Klitschko merely fights because he thinks he can win. To beat Klitschko all Povetkin has to do is a little bit of head movement to make it hard for Klitschko to hit him. Once Klitschko has something to worry about, the fight is over.

Have you been living on Mars all your life? First off Povetkin was in good shape against Chambers, no need to make excuses his average fighting weight is 226, against Chambers he was 227...

Second he has to do more then a little head movement against Wlad. If Wlad was able to catch a prime Chris Byrd at will with his jab and right hand, then Povetkin is gonna be destroyed. Not to mention his chin has never been tested, a right hand or left hook from Klitschko will probably most likely take his head off.

The kid needs atleast two more years fighting contenders before he steps up to Wlad. People dont realize how high above Wlad is over everyone else in the heavyweight division.

No one is gonna beat Wlad right now. I can't even get many to bet against him.

                      25K on Wlad, anyone??
