Povetkin vs. Wlad? Give me a break!

Unless Povetkin's goal is to make a few millions and retire, he should never take the fight with Wlad. Wlad would pick him apart from the distance and KO faster than he did Brock. Povetkin's lack of defense would make it a target practice for Wlad, it would be pathetic. I'm no big fan of Wlad but it would be a waste of the fight.

Ya, I hope Povetkin takes a few more fights before he fights Wlad.

It just goes to show you, Wlad pretty much owns the heavyweight division.

I think wlad will ko him bad. Povetkin is good but he's real small next to wlad add this to his lack of basic defence and its a sure fire way to a brutal ko by wlad.
I dnt even think povetkin could even hurt wlads glass chin, And in my opinion when fighting one the top 3 p4p hardest punchers inthe game you would have to atleast hurt wlad to deter him from coming forward looking for the big right hand.

            Povetkin has earned his shot.
And in only his 16th fight.
Give the guy some credit and until Wlad actually beats Povetkin you cannot be so sure of your prediction.
Povetkin isn't some crude operator like Sam Peter either.
He is an accomplished fighter with a stellar amateur career.
I'm not saying Wlad won't beat him but I wouldn't be surprised if Povetkin actually won a close decision.
To simply write Povetkin off as some nobody is ignorant.

I'm with moofo. Povetkin eraned it. He's ripped right through the division. he doesn't stand a chance, but the fights happen in the ring, not in our heads. So this has to happen.

EVERY top15 Heavyweight I fight I watch is competitive and most seem to end up in decsions...

Wlad dominates them and knocks them out..

I suspect Ibragimov Povetkin and Chagaev would be no different..

Anyone who gets taken to a close draw By Austin.. anyone who has to Scrap for 12 rounds straight against Skelton.. andyone who gets hit almost seemingly at will, like Povetkin Just has no chance ... beyond the KO punch.. against a chin that is better than most people give it credit for..

Wlad can always break mentaly.. but he seems to be evenly paced and aware of it now..

Lack of defense is not the correct way to characterize Povetkin's style. The problem is lack of lateral head movement associated with a high work rate. In effect he is making himself a predictable target which a good boxer can hit. I've been saying it for a couple of years now, Povetkin is not getting the right training.
