I worry about exciting divisions. I suggest you all do the same.
Haha, I knew someone was gonna put down the division. Face it man, America right now has NO talented HWs. If the Europeans that are dominating right now are ****, what does that make Americans who can't even beat them?

I did just face that. I never said American heavyweights were any good. I don't even really care about the heavyweight division. That old saying of "As goes the heavyweights, so goes boxing" is complete garbage. It's untrue. Boxing is doing just fine without a GREAT group of heavyweights.

Have the division Europe, it sucks. Is THIS group, really something to brag about? Honestly?

If you don't care about it, then you shouldn't downgrade it. The way these guys fight is not exactly the most exciting, but it gets the job done and it's just as effective as the HW's from the past eras.

He is still a top 10 or atleast top 15 heavyweight so yeah, that's what the most of the heavyweights today are (aside from a few), garbage.

After a successful amateur career Gomez had a good run as a cruiserweight, he held the WBC belt for 4 years and defended his title over 10 times.

He was supposed to be a good heavyweight but his ******* addiction and training habits f***ed his career up.
That's why he lost to Diaz, he came to that fight fat and coked up.

Gomez has some solid wins over McCall and Sam and he has very good boxing skills for a heavyweight but his record definitely isn't as impressive as it should've been. A waste of talent.

I downgrade it because people are actually bragging about it.

This is like a guy celebrating the fact that he won a marathon if they banned all the Africans from competing. Sure you won, but I think you'd be a huge underdog under the toughest of circumstances. I'm not even a huge follower of the heavyweight division, compared to the divisions I've literally studied in my lifetime, but I can name five heavyweights from each major modern era that could destroy the five best heavyweights of today.

That's NOT something to be proud of.

If somebody teaches Sam Peter how to box he would be extremely dangerous to the division.

Forget the "American" thing right now...the Truth is, the division isn't great, except for Wlad. I was expecting more from this fight with all the hype I've been hearing. Right now, I'm going over other fights from Pov just to see if he had an "off night."

There are no good “American” HWs at the moment because the great athletes no longer go into boxing; that’s a fact.

It’s not even about putting down the fighters that come from the variety of countries that used to make up the Former Soviet since I have always had a great deal of respect from the great athletes that came and still come from there. Even right now, Fedor is incredible, but if you compare him with the boxers, it’s not comparable.

I see no boxer as good as Alexei Nemov was in gymnastics.

It’s talent, not where you come from.

Ask me about Tennis, I'll give you my top 5, all non-American.
                    Baseball, top player, non-American.
                    If I followed Soccer/Football, it would be a non-American.

The Division is Disappointing, get over it. Wlad is the only one to watch.

All of the great American heavyweight athletes of our era are playing footboot or basketball. It's safer and alot more lucrative than boxing. In other words do not look forward to seeing any great American heavyweights.
