Does anyone still believe Cotto can beat Mayweather?

A few months back atfter Cotto beat Mosley a lot of people thought he could beat Mayweather with his constant pressure and power but since December 8th no one seems to think so any more?

Mayweather knows his win over Hatton has really silenced his criticts and most experts now recognise that Cotto can't beat him so why is there such a demand for this fight? Sure, I'd love to see them fight but then it will just be Paul Williams after that. "What Ifs" really get on my nerves.

what does a win over a smaller one dimensional hatton have to do with cotto's odds, who is a naturally bigger stronger and more skilled fighter.
I believe Cotto can beat Mayweather and many people here do as well, you must be hiding under a rock or so narrow minded you only hear what you want to hear.

Even though PBF would most likely beat Cotto in a convincing fashion, there is really no one right now in the level of Cotto in WW other than maybe Williams but he doesn't offer a lot of money to PBF.

Diminish his win over Hatton all you want but most of you don't realise although Hatton is smaller than Cotto, he is faster and has better footwork. Cotto will be hit all night.

It is possible for Cotto to beat Mayweather, but I sure as hell wouldn't bet my house on it.

I'm a big Floyd fan, but I want to see Floyd fight Cotto. It's really the only fight left for him that I'm really interested in. He should win, but Cotto has a shot.

On a side note, I know that people like to insinuate that Floyd is scared of the risk. I don't know why virtually no one points out that Floyd has major problems with Bob Arum and Top Rank and the effect that has on making fights with Top Rank fighters like Cotto. It's unfortunate because the Mayweather-Cotto fight is probably the best fight that can be made in the sport of boxing.

Cotto is much more talented. Hatton was way over his head in that fight, and not one US critic picked Hatton to win.

However, Dan Rafael has already said he would give Cotto a great chance in that fight, as has Yahoo.com.

dude, lay off the crack pipe. his foot work might be a bit better but no way is he faster, cotto also has a better defense then Hatton and doesn't just lunge in head first with his arms to his waist trying to clinch.

Of course I think the fight would be very close and like someone else said I wouldn't bet my house on it (even though I wouldn't bet my house on anything)
but Cotto has a better chance then De La Hoya or Hatton did or anyone else Floyd has ever fought.
