If Manny's last name is Johnson, YES! No doubt he would've been along time ago.

Couldn't disagree more. IMHO a fighter's greatness can only be measured by the level of his competition. A lot of people probably agree with the above statement though. That explains why so many people think Roy Jones is one of the all-time greatest fighters P4P. With regard to Floyd v. Pac, I understand that Floyd is standing squarely in the P4P spotlight because of his last couple of wins, but if Pacquiao beats Marquez he will have beaten a much more skilled and dangerous opponent. I'm not necessarily saying that Pac should be rated #1 P4P, but he would definitely have a strong case. Anyone who flatly dismisses him is just biased IMO. At any rate, most boxing publications and websites will keep him at #2.

I dont quite get how Mayweather gets **** for fighting De La Hoya and Hatton, and not the other welters, but Pacman is a "true warrior" while feeding on aged battleworn featherweights when Valero and Guzman, are in his division.

They both do it for the same reason (money vs risk), but only one gets called a *****, interesting...
This is pretty clueless. Please tell me how Marquez isn't the most dangerous opponent for Pac at the moment. You should check out a few more Marquez fights. He has demonstrated himself to be quite a bit more than just "another 30-something featherweight."

Marquez is still very active and at the top of his game, yes. And Morales and Barrera were younger and more active than DLH was.

            That is Joan Guzman.

Marquez is a 30-something featherweight, the only fights he had at 130 were against Barrera (close fight, and Barrera is shot) and against Juarez, who lost every title fight was in. [Both Juarez and Barrera are featherweights]. Then there is the Chris John fight, and that was at feather... and JMM is going towards 35.

Marquez is 34, going for 35, NOT on top of his game, and NOT at his best weight.

Barrera the 1st time around was a great win. That was 2003. This is 2008.

The 2nd time around Barrera was... well we have all seen the fight.

              Morales' recent record:

              MAB L
              PAC W
              RAHEEM L
              PAC L
              PAC L
              DIAZ L

PacMan is the only fighter who managed to lose to Morales in the last 3 years, that is surely some pound for pound credentials...

Morales and Barrera had many more fights than Oscar had, in which they took many more punches than Oscar did. So Oscar being older than them is meaningless.

Even without all the facts above, Oscar was 15 pounds heavier than Mayweather on fight night. Pacman outweighted the 30something mexican featherweights in most of those fights.

All is left in the post, is that the 3 mexicans are/were mote active. I agrew with that.

I forgot, I surely dont need to check out a few more Marquez fights.

We must be watching different fights. Despite his age, Marquez hasn't shown me that he is slowing down; and he is better than Guzman.

We must be watching different fights indees. I dont see the same Marquez that got up from that devastating round 1 against pacquiao to put on a clinic.

He WAS better than Guzman in a P4P sense, no way he is a bigger threat at 130, NOW.

We have a bet then if Marquez and Guzman ever fight.
