Dela hoya is fading, Cotto is getting better, so i think by the time they fought early or mid 2009 maybe that de la hoya would be greatly faded and cotto would be near if not at his peak, so cotto would almost surly stop de la hoya. and if he doesnt stop him he will probably give him a decent beating
You could be right but if the same DLH showes up against Cotto that showed up against PBF, Cotto doesn't stand a chance. DLH is getting up there in age but he showed me he still has hand speed and boxing ability to contend with the best.

That's what I thought...........no response. It's easier to make up pics than answer intelligently but then that might be asking too much on this forum....

i agree forsure, Dela hoya that fought mayweather is better than the cotto who fought mosley, But cotto has been getting progressivly better and de la hoya iss only gonna get worse

            haha are you serious?

I'm bitter. Why? Because I, like many boxing fans, knew how Mayweather/De La Hoya was going to pan out. Oscar was going to pressure, but never really land any effective punches and Mayweather was going to slip and slide and pot shot oscar to victory. You know what's worse than thinking you know what's gonna happen? It actually happening..

But let's take it back a little further. Oscar fought Mayorga who at that point was still a decent fighter. I was cool with that fight because it looked like a stepping stone to another fight who would be more evenly matched with Oscar. But, no he chose Mayweather. Yeah, May is p4p #1 but it just isnt a good match up. It STILL isnt a good match up.

Oscar may give the majority of Welters out there some problems but who does he call out? Ricky Hatton? PACQUIAO!? Are you ****ing kidding? My point is that if your not going to fight the dudes that you SHOULD be fighting like Forrest, Cotto, Williams, etc GET THE **** OUT THE WAY THEN.

So you can sit there infront of your computer and make as many arguements as to why Oscar isnt finished, which are valid arguements, but Oscar doesn't seem to show any interests in proving that he can still dominate the Welters out there. Only fighters smaller than him. Its time to move on.

hahahaha. you think oscar is avoiding cotto, williams by fighting mayweather? oscar started his career at 135 and he is 5'10 and may is 5'8 with a longer reach than oscar. saying he is avoiding other welters by fighting may is like saying larry holmes is avoiding spinks by fighting tyson. that is the least logical statement I have ever heard thus far.

Well if you read my quote, I stated the same and knew Oscar didn't have a chance against Mayweather but so what??

You telling me that NOT taking Cotto, Forrest or Williams was an easier choice?!?!?!!? HAHAHHAA

He fought the BEST POUND FOR POUND FIGHTER IN THE WORLD!
When you win 6 titles in 6 different weight classes, then you can pick and chose who you want to fight.

As far as Hatton and Pac, those were more internet people saying things than actuall fight plans by Oscar. Oscar wants to fight 3 more times in 08. I bet you that neither Pacman or Hatton are in any of his plans.

He will most likely fight Trinidad if that fight is available, maybe Cotto is everything pans out and maybe Margarito in Mexico would be my guess. DLH will go out with a **** win or lose, he's not goint to make fights the public DOESN"T want to see. You can call him anything you want but ****** isn't one of them.

And thats with you? What good is making these arguments if he's going to be fighting against a fighter who is past his prime? That makes no sense. Him taking a fight with Trinidad proves nothing and doesnt help your argument at all. And where the **** did I say he was ducking Forrest or Williams? **** is wrong with you? You know what I meant, he's only going to fight for the big bucks now which leaves him little options quality wise.

he is going for the big money and not the best quality? because there are much better quality fighters out there than P4P #1 mayweather. lol. your hatred for de la hoya can't be anymore transparent.
