The KO loss Maskaev destroyed Rahman IMO, he has looked terrible ever since that loss...Vladimir Virchis is a dangerous opponent, he is a big strong dude with very heavy hands and an iron chin. I think Virchis would put Rahman and his career to sleep.

      Vladimir Virchis by KO

Chances are, the winner will have to fight 2 or 3 more title eliminator fights until he gets a title shot.
Virchis is a dangerous fighter who isn't known anywhere except in Germany and Russia, if you beat him you won't get much respect (atleast from the Americans) and if you lose to him your career is done, especially when you're Rahman who is getting up there in age.
I hope Gomez will fight Virchis, thats the fight i want to see! If not Gomez, then Rahman would be also interesting!
If Rahman would beat Virchis he would be back in the mix!!
Virchis is verry strong, but verry slow and a bad boxer. Rahman is also verry strong but has better skills. He has a weak chin though, and thats a big disadvantage if you fight a guy like Virchis. A prime Rahman would easily beat Virchis, but todays Rahman seems to be pretty much done, but who knows maybe he still can do better as in his last fights. If not, Virchis is the clear favourite.

I don't know anything about Virchis but I can't see Rahman winning any fight against any relevant opponent at this point.

a prime rahman would not have beat virchis. I think virchis would have knocked any version of rahman out. rahman was a better boxer in his prime than virchis, better jab and hand speed but virchis is a very bad styles matchup for any version of rahman. maskeav knocked rahman out 2 of 2,,,,,virchis is no slower than maskeav and hits twice as hard with a much much better chin. the rahman of today doesnt have the jab anymore,,is much slower and has even worse defense than before. virchis would have stopped him late in a good competitve match years ago,,,,but would literally destroy rahman within 6 rounds today
