But for atmosophere there is no substitute for being there live. To go to the Staples Center in LA you have to pay $20 just to park a block away. You don't want to know how much a crappy hamburger and a coke costs.
I COULD'NT AGREE MORE. AND WHEN YOU'RE HOME YOU CAN BARBACUE, BRING THE BIG SCREEN OUTSIDE DRINK AS MUCH BEER AS YOU WANT AND HAVE FRIENDS OVER. YOU CAN MAKE A REALLY GREAT NIGHT OUT OF AN OTHERWISE NORMAL SATURDAY B.A.D. , OR PPV DOWN THE STREET.

its different in the east side tho. For the most part its always cold here so we can't bbq and all that. But people do drink in the crib and all that. In my case its better to go to the fight live becuase i'm the only boxing fan

Great fights I feel you have to go to. I'm not above paying 30 bucks and sitting in 250 dollar seats.
It's just sometimes I think I can see more watching at home, but then I'd miss good undercards or good prospects not shown on TV.

But it does cost, and I don't think the undercards are set up like they used to be.

To be honest its not fair the advantage I have. So live fights is a must for me. I am an undercard junkie, I love watching prospects and guys l;earning how to fight, plus most of the time the best fights aound are the undercard guys who are 22-10 vs- 16-18 and they are fighting for pride. Those fights usually are worth the admission. However, my advantage is compliments of Rick Reeno and company. But if I did have to shell out money for fights it would only be the ones around town. Though I do have to pick up the airfare if I travel anywhere which can suck (wink wink BPP). And I work nights as well so even some of the local fights down here, being in the medical field I miss them due to work. besides that, I catch as many decent to big shows as I can. I don;t hit the smaller shows unless I know the promoter. But taking a chick to a live show is a winner, they whine and complain about the violence and that they don't like boxing. But as soon as they see it live, they're screaming louder than anyone in the joint and when FNF comes on or there is an HBO or SHowtime event you want to catch, they are more than willing to not harrass you about seeing it on a normal sate night (Fri, and Sat). Live shows easily trump TV coverage. Plus you don;t have to deal with Harold Lerderman's voice at a live show.
