... I had problems understanding him. He wasn't (and still isn't IMO) terrible at speaking, but he definately isn't great.

In Mayweather-Gatti I remember trying to figure out what the **** he was saying after Lampley said TOO MUCH SPEED, MAYBE TOO MUCH POWER.

He mumbled something about "Reminds me of the Roy Jones-Vinny Pazienza fight".

It should not be that ****ing hard to understand a sentence, spoken at a regular Roy Jones Jr. rate.

He has'nt gotten punched enough to be punch drunk. I think he just has delusions of grandure. He was'nt exactly an ordinary fighter in his prime. I think he actually believes he should still be #1 p4p. If you asked him, I'm willing to bet he'd say it.

It's just the way he talks. I personally need to listen in close to understand him, but it's his speech. I can't understand a lot of guys..there are some basketball/football players hard to understand...they arent punch drunk.

If you think Roy jones is punch drunk, then........

          Y'ALL MUST'VE FORGOT!!!

To be honest, that song was hard to understand too.

"Hit Percy Harris with four hooks at one time" was very difficult to understand.

Im not saying that the guy used to be a great orator or anything, but the level of speach impairment I heard last fight sounded a hell of a lot like the punch drunk guys I hear at the gym.

But im worried about his head. I think he may have brain damage. After the fight with Tito. I couldn't understand what he was saying. I don't think anyone did. Im worried he has brain damage.

Going to fight De La Hoya at 156? Does this confirm my thoughts?

Since he told commentators he struggled to beat LHW's, because its to light for him after his match with Ruiz at HW?

                Im seriously concerned for Roy.
This falls into the category of has anyone ever been able to understand Roy? Hes not slurring his words at all, he just seems to not give a **** if anyone can understand him any more.

Roys country, real southern... hes always had a southern gangster swagger... he used to talk liek that when he was 25 after a fight... he rarely ever finishes the ending pronunciation of his words...

                      What Gym??

A guy who had slowed his speech quite a bit was Antonio Diaz, sometimes fighters sound "punchy" but if they dont fight or take a break it will go away.

Shane Mosley sounded a bit slow after his fight with Cotto, if you compare to when he was younger.
