You would think that they are recieving a percentage of his purses, the way that they are concerned with whats a "good buisness decision" for him. As a fan of the sport, why would u want to see this bull**** buisness matchup, instead of watching Floyd go after the top welters? How is it the he's the WW champ, yet doesnt want to defend his title against any WW's? How this fraud has any fans is beyond me! I have more respect for guys like Mayorga than i do for Floyd.

Last time i checked all the other welter's have dates already signed.... I wish floyd would fight cotto as well and I have no doubt that he will but if you have a problem with floyd/oscar II, dont buy it. No point in crying over it.Comment

Cotto's fight just became official if it's even totally done as of right now, I mean your acting like Cotto had this fight lined up forever, he waited patiently for Oscar and Floyd to figure **** out and they left him out of the deal so at the end of the day Cotto had to line up an "active fight"!!!! Cotto didn't have a date signed when DLH/Mayweather rumors heated up to an almost guarantee, Arum said the rematch is gonna happen looks like I will have to find Cotto a different fight!!!!!Comment

I agree this is a pointless fight, considering that Cotto has build a name for himself and is very deserving of a shot at Floyd, but financially i dont think anybody including Cotto(assuming Cotto had already beat Oscar) would pass up a rematch with Oscar, hes just a big money attraction. I know that alot of times what we want as fans and what boxers actually do is very different and fustrating but its obvious Floyd is looking to make money and not fight for his legacy, so just be patient as a Cotto fight will happen more than likely next year...What im waiting for is what the people on this board will come out with next once Floyd beats Cotto?Comment

Your right and I agree with you 100% which takes me back to my first point, its not always what we as fans want to happen sometimes the money (especially when fighting Oscar) is more beneficial to them than their "legacy" and yes Floyd will catch alot more heat than any other boxer because of the status hes in/puts himslef in/the media makes him out to be. If Cotto would have already beaten Oscar and Oscar offered him the rematch some people would not criticise him for it and would find things to justify the fight, it just comes with the territory.Comment

The longer the delay Cotto vs Mayweather, the worse it'll be for Mayweather.
I mean think about it...He fought Old Oscar last May. He fought Bum Hatton in December, and now he's gonna fight Older Oscar??
Cotto vs Mayweather will eventually happen. All this talk we're doing now is what they want and need to set up a mega fight. Cotto deserves a huge payday.
