Lance Whitaker, FKA Lance 'Mount' Whitaker and who briefly called himself Lance 'Goofi' Whitaker, had his name changed officially to plain old 'Goofi' on the advice of his manager Rock Newman. Newman wanted to separate his fighter from what he considered to be a crowd of non-descript heavyweight contenders who took themselves too seriously. Apparently, Newman figured that the name change was a clever way to market his fighter to increase his popularity among the toddler set. Nobody told Newman that toddlers don't generally watch the fights.

Gotta give love to Anthony "Sugar Ray Clay Jones Jr.".

I think he had made that his nickname because he really does think that he is going to be as good as all of them.

          Joel "El Cepillo" Casamayor.

El Cepillo is The Hairbrush in Spanish, and they all thought that he raked other fighters' faces like a hairbrush, so that is how he got the nickname.

Calvin Brock's used to work as a banker that's why he's called "The Boxing Banker".
