That's how the money side of boxing works, very few fighters can be like De La Hoya and fight whoever they want whenever they want. No matter how much everyone hates Arum he knows how to make money and Margarito would be better of following him, even if you call him a house pet and hurt people's feelings.

He would be better off with Arum because Arum protects his fighters. He has been keeping lil Chavez Jr warm feeding him bums for breakfast. Margarito just got a nice Ko over Golden Johnson.

I know the business side of boxing.....nothing you can tell me there. Floyd wanted to fight Oscar and knew it wouldn't work out with Arum as his promoter so he paid him off to release him from his contract.

What Margarito needs is a good manager. That's who will negotiate a good price for you and get you the fights, not a promoter. A promoter is a dyme a dozen.....you need a good team.....that's what it's all about. You trust a promoter with your career, you'll end up broke.

Margarito is probabley arum's prize fighter although isnt pacquiao under arum? Cotto is under arum as well and I think pac and cotto are bigger drawers than margy and are simply better imo at least.

It would be on ppv, and it would do well. I'm not talking Mayweather DLH or something outrageous, but it would do around what his fight did with Mosley, maybe a bit less. That's why Margarito and Cottom are both fighting before then as well, build some hype and attention.

well its been said that oscar wants to a tune up fight before the maywheather bout and I think a match with margarito in mexico would actually be a great idea.
