    Best slugger of all-time?

Which fighter who relied on his power to win him his fights had the best career?

I'm talking about guys who won by knockout, or (rarely) won a decision because his opponent was so intimidated by him that he didn't even try to win rounds, he just tried to survive.

Julian Jackson is an example... or Ricardo Mayorga.

Do you mean guys with both skill and power or just power and no skill? If both skills and power are allowed, I have to go with Wilfredo Gomez at 122.

Depends on who you choose to label a pure slugger, but Jack Dempsey and Mike Tyson would be high on the list.

I think it would have been clearer for me had you used the term, knockout artist. Since you said slugger, I envisioned a wild swinging style like Mayorga's. Now that's out of the way, I still say it's Gomez who was 32-0-1 with 32 Ko's before losing to Salvador Sanchez.

Hagler was a very good boxer, to say the least.
