1 of the greatest things about Floyd is he always makes haters look ******! 1st the haters said he would get destroyed by Diego. We all know what happened. Later on it was Castillo, Gatti, Judah & Oscar who were suppose to KO him. We know what happened.

Then he was a runner who was would not stand & go toe-to-toe with Hatton. We all know what happened. Now some liars claim he has never fought a real WW. But before he beat the undefeated Hatton he beat 3 men in a row who all held the Real WW title at 1 point. Baldomir, Judah & Oscar.

I would actually answer that by saying that you can't have it both ways. You can't call Floyd to fight Margarito (as you did above), because that is merely cleaning up unfinished business... Margarito is not the best, because he lost to Williams. Floyd fought Hatton to clean up unfinished business from 140.

NOW, if you have been paying attention, I said that I don't have much argument anymore as to why Floyd should be considered the #1 welter if he does go ahead with the De La Hoya rematch. I would consider it vacant, because Cotto fighting Gomez and then Margarito (coming off of a loss and then a win over a bum) doesn't cut it.

But it is obvious that Floyd isn't head and shoulder above the rest, so he can't be called the champion, unless he does fight a GOOD welterweight instead of De La Hoya.
