i dont care how fast u are how great a counter punches u are ,it is damn near impossible to counter effectively against someone who puts u under so much preassure
I think its a good fight either way.. and I hope it happens.

Clean shots and movement counter heavy pressure...and a solid jab. With Roy's speed, power, and reflexes, he could counter Joe. The only problem, this is what I say for a Prime Roy. Roy isn't the same fighter so we can throw out the movement part.

Roy would have to keep catching Joe clean and hopefully hurt and discourage him from continuing in his constant attack. He would also have to use the jab non-stop.

The problem once again, Roy is past his prime.

Id need to see how the B-hop fight plays out before I could call this. Calzaghe was having troubles keeping up his pace in the Kessler fight, its possible the father time could catch up with him, effecting his work rate significantly.

If Joe slows down enough, I think we might be in for perhaps the most tactically brilliant fight in boxing history.

It would be what B-hop vs Winky was suppose to be. A technical war for the ages.

You think that because you understand boxing. You are also right. Jones has NO CHANCE against Calzaghe. The scared Roy that got koed by Tarver and Glen Johnson will be getting humiliated by Joe C. Not even a fight. Roy wont win a round. He will cover. He is gunshy. He will be afraid to throw. He will get battered. Maybe even stopped...

i would like it to happen ,id prefer Calzaghe v RJJ than ,Zag v B Hop

not a good fight for Roy though IMO ,i think Roy should go after some of the lesser lights in the SMW or LHW division win another world title or something then retire

Roy has got himself back together, time to finish on a high

yeah it does but thats when u are fighting a bum ,Calzaghe applys preassure in the right situations like when u are in a vulnerable postition & Calzaghe does'nt fight square on either like a conventional preassure fighter & he has good footwork

Roy might be quick but so is Calzghe i aint saying Roy dont have the faster hands cause he clearly does ,but one things for sure Joe is a good enough & quick enough fighter to time Roy & with Roy slower reactions that could be recipe for disaster

yea.. but a fight with calzaghe would be a #1 priority.. when you look at it in the sense of what winning would do for his legacy..

I think this fight has more entertainment value then a B-Hop Joe C showdown simply because RJJ and Joe calzaghe are two of the ****iest boxers out there, the trash talk would be unreal

nowhere near a mismatch in my eye..

I hope we find out if its true..

either way, Joe is in top 5 p4p fighters right now..

Roy dont got alot to lose, will be a close fight either way tho..
