Honestly. He beat a shot Pernell Whittaker and all of a sudden he became great. He lowblowed the piss out of Fernando Vargas, got a gift decision against Oscar (he only won 4 rounds, no way he won more than that), and he's an instant ATG.

This is also part of the reason I love Bernard Hopkins. He called the little ***** out on his illegal wrapping and made him wrap his hands correctly prior to stepping in the ring with him, then he beat the ever loving **** out of him for doing so.
