The wbo didn't force Margarito, Goosen paying Margarito 1.5 million convinced Margarito and team not to take the Cotto fight which was going to pay less at the time and take the Williams fight. Margaritos biggest paycheck was agianst Williams. Goosen took a gamble and it worked out for him. Margarito took the fight and lost and it still worked out for him besides the 1.5 million because his name is still in everybodys mind and many people aggree that the Margarito v. Williams fight was a very close fight that could have gone either way.

It could have gone either way... if Margarito had started fighting earlier. He just gave too many rounds away, simple as that.

Anyways, the WBO really did force him though... he waited until the end of the road for him to hold onto the belt.

I didn't know that about the money though... Either way, it doesn't prove that Margarito is any braver, because he just took the more profitable option.

Although I hate Margarito because of Viva, I don't think he has ever claimed he was "the most feared man in boxing" that was more of an Arum concoction. Williams on the other hand is sulking in the "most feared" moniker and personally it is a good persona to have but it isn't getting you any more money.

Whats interesting is how Williams is fighting on the west coast. Does he not have a fan base in his hometown?

Did Goosen belive the Puerto Rican wouldnt' show up to support Quintanna at the live event?

He's ok and beat Marg who is also ok, but neither guy is the most feared man anywhere

The two, are easily the two most feared fighters in the WW division, as well as two of the most feared/respected fighters in boxing as a whole.

All you have to do is point to Mayweather and remember how Mayweather was offered the biggest payday of his career at the time(as in Margarito) and refused to take the fight. I'm from the US of A, and I've never heard of Aikenm South Carolina. It's probably really ****ing small. He needs to establish himself in either Las Vegas or NY to get a good fanbase. Or Atlantic City I guess.

Also the Margarito Haters need to quit denying basic facts. How detatched from reality do you have to be, to not see how De La Hoya, Mayweather, Mosley and Vargas all ducked Margarito? He called all of them out, and he even moved up in weight seeking fights with them. Funny how two of them moved up to 160, 1 just flat out ducked him straight up and told him to his face, and the other fought 4 times in 3 years.
