Gomez is better than he gets credit for anyway when you think about it.

wins over Jesse Feliciano, Peter Manfredo, Arturo Gatt, Ben Tackie. Thats not THAT bad. Manfredo is a super middle, Gatti can punch and neither could hurt Gomez. If Cotto stops him that would be impressive. I dont want to see the fight go the distance.

This fight is only to set up Cotto-Margarito with Cotto coming off a win over a Mexican to ****e up the rivalry. Arum knows what he is doing.

As he started having trouble making weight limit he had to hydrate more after weigh ins, that's water weight he carries around NOT muscle mass from one day til next day. Remember how ill he looked at weigh ins late in his 140 fights, still think that's an advantage? Try starving. Quintana has been a true WW for many years, as a welter he had 22-0 with 18 KOs and an impressive win over one of the considered hardes punchers in the division, Julio. Cotto took him out in his first fight as a WW. Urkal, Judah, Mosley all had more experience in WW division, Mosley was a super WW who fought Winky and big guys like Forrest and Vargas.
Come on man. I always tell people that height doesnt mean nothing to me. Its all about your frame and size. Margarito is the same height as RJ. Does that mean he should be a LHW? Pinto and Bazan? Come on now, you know those guys have no shot against Cotto even if they were HW's. You have to have some skill atleast.

I completely agree that Cotto was drained at 140 but he was still so big that it cancled everything out. He still fought very well. Lets not act like he came into the ring dead or something. He's definatly more healthy at WW. My whole point was that Cotto at 140 was fake. He shouldve never ever ever had been there anyway. He shouldve started at WW and right now he probally should be a Jr. MW but that goes for atleast 5 more of the guys in this division so its ok "as long as Cotto fights them".

Antonio Margarito lost credibilty with his losing to Williams. Was it a coincidence Margarito was on the undercard of Cotto/Mosely???? Is it a coincidence that Margarito/Zab is on the undercard of Cotto/Gomez on April 26 in Atlantic City??? One thing is undeniable....the 147lb's are going through an elimination type phase. Call it the "play-off's" if you will. Eventually there will be only TWO! And I can tell you who it "WON'T" be! (but this thread isn't about "HIM", so I won't mention it)
I would agree with you a 100% but its not exactly like that. Margarito-Zab will not be on this undercard and the WW's arent fighting eachother. Thats why Im upset. Cotto should be fighting Clottey, Cintron, or Margarito in this fight right here. He doesnt even have to fight Williams yet but atleast fight one of these big guys. Thats all Ive ever asked of him. People act like that **** doesnt matter or they can easily overlook it but its a huge deal. Its way easier when you fight guys was smaller then you in every fight. You guys dont think so?

I disagree with that. Williams is definatly a huge WW but alot of those guys are. He also fought Margarito who is huge while Cotto hasnt ever fought a guy like that. I also dont think Williams is any bigger then Cotto. I think alot of you are sleeping on dude's size. Williams is tall but Cotto is built like a truck. Shoot, seeing some of the things Mathysee did to Williams makes me think Cotto could chop him down but he wont even fight him. Williams is big but he's no bigger then Cotto, Cintron, Margarito, and Clottey. If he is bigger then its just barely. Why cant they fight him? Floyd has been doing it his whole career. Look at the Chico fight

Antonio, I always have the same complaint. How come no one thinks its valid? All Ive ever wanted is for Cotto to fight one guy who was as big as him and has some talent. Thats all Ive ever asked. He's good but from round 1 in every fight he has you can see that he's just a monster compared to his opponets. He looks like he's atleast 2 weight classes bigger then everyone he fights. Its only one complaint I have and he has never answered it in any fight but everyone overlooks it. It makes me mad because the same people will ***** and say that Floyd hasnt fought a big WW yet but atleast Floyd is a small guy. Whats Cotto's excuse? Floyd also fought Baldy and Oscar who were huge and he's way smaller then Cotto. Cotto hasnt even done that. Am I really wrong to ask this question? Really?

I guess we'll find out when the Margarito fight comes but again that sucks to me. I think it will be a must see fight but it sucks because I think there's pretty much a 90% chance that both guys will come out with even more hype then before or that Margarito will win and we will have to hear all his hype again

Ummm. Quintana, Judah and Mosley were of equal or bigger size than Cotto. Additionally, just because Cotto looks wider and more solid than his opponents doesnt discount that many of his opponents have a reach and height advantage.
