It's no secret I'm no huge fan of Cotto, but the kid deserves a break. After fighting Quintana, Judah, and Mosley in 3 of his last 4, he needs a breather.

I was disappointed to hear he would be fighting Gomez of all people next, especially after coming off a stellar year for him in 2007. I was hoping he start talking Mayweather.

But I hate Alfonso Gomez so badly, I then realized it would be a win for me in the longrum to see the kid get dismantled and be done with it. I hope Cotto Malignaggi's his ass.

as for my long essays, one thing you guys have to realize is that I took a computer and typing class in school so I can type like a real writer. You guys may think I sit hit writing for 20 minutes but it only takes me a second to write something long. I always have alot of thoughts so if you combine that with my typing skills then it just flows

DLT is just mad because he has always picked on Cotto loosing and it has always come back to byte him. That, and only that, is what we can get out of his crappy anti-Cotto diatribes.

They couldnt hurt him enough and it was like a truck when he hit them. Theres a difference between a guy being a big puncher and a guy just being too big for the guys at the weight. He way way way bigger then those guys. Then he moved up to WW but the only real WW he's fought was Mosley who himself has always been a small guy. From the very 1st round Manny Steward who loves Cotto was even saying that Cotto just looks so much physically bigger then Shane. This **** is true. Sure he fought Quintana who's always been at WW but we all know this guy isnt a big WW with any kind of size.

I just want him one time to fight someone his own size or bigger. Thats all I ask and Im not talking about garbage guys like Pinto. People also get mad at me because I start off by saying "I like Cotto But". Thats how I feel though. Its not a gimmick. People think I hate Cotto but I dont. I watch all his fights. He's definatly better at WW and is improving as a boxer. His chin is also much better at WW and he's fearless. Still, I would love to see him with a real steep challange. Some people say the same about Floyd but you cant deny that Floyd has fought a ton of guys bigger then him and half of them are way way bigger then him. It changes everything. I dont even need to see that from Cotto but I would atleast like to see him have one fight against a guy his own size like Williams, Cintron, Clottey, Margarito, or even Collazo. I dont even think that Cintron or Magrartio are that skilled or good but atleast it would tell us all the final question about Cotto. Its my only question that Ive always had and nothing has changed even with his great performances. I just want to see him when he doesnt have that crazy size advantage
At 140 he clinched his first regional title agains Bazan, who's probably about 5'11" or so, then got his first real title against Pinto who's about the same height and were natural Jr WW and both happened to be big punchers, but you already knew that right? As he started having trouble making weight limit he had to hydrate more after weigh ins, that's water weight he carries around NOT muscle mass from one day til next day. Remember how ill he looked at weigh ins late in his 140 fights, still think that's an advantage? Try starving. Quintana has been a true WW for many years, as a welter he had 22-0 with 18 KOs and an impressive win over one of the considered hardes punchers in the division, Julio. Cotto took him out in his first fight as a WW. Urkal, Judah, Mosley all had more experience in WW division, Mosley was a super WW who fought Winky and big guys like Forrest and Vargas.

When you watch boxing a bit more, you will come to see that MANY fighters move up on fight night. The "huge" Cotto you saw at 140lbs was actually a weight drained shell of what he is now. You are just a hater... Cotto is the real deal, a true WW. Handle it.

If he wants them to fight now then they fight now. Cintron's injury isnt real. He just didnt want to fight Williams anymore
What this seems like, DLT, is that the Wetler Weights are fighting each other....as it should be! If you haven't noticed, Bob Arum has been trying to set up Cotto/Margarito for some time now. Antonio Margarito lost credibilty with his losing to Williams. Was it a coincidence Margarito was on the undercard of Cotto/Mosely???? Is it a coincidence that Margarito/Zab is on the undercard of Cotto/Gomez on April 26 in Atlantic City??? One thing is undeniable....the 147lb's are going through an elimination type phase. Call it the "play-off's" if you will. Eventually there will be only TWO! And I can tell you who it "WON'T" be! (but this thread isn't about "HIM", so I won't mention it)

Just go to DLT's thread history, and skim through all 292382434 Cotto threads that he has. Not one is a positive thread. He's been at this for a while, that's why I dont even bother to read his posts on the topic anymore.

if Cotto was too big and "bullying" guys at 140, then what the *** is Paul Williams doing at 147? Had he been the same size as Matthysse them punched he took would have crushed him.
