Barrera has always been overrated, it's now guys that have came along t hats good though, and he can't beat them. He like Morales can no longer starve himsself to make a weight class 2 divisions smaller then where he should be fighting, now it's truth be told

Barrera certainly has more left in his tank than his counterpart Morales does, and I see nothing wrong with one final "goodbye" fight. One in which he can risk little, win, and retire on a win the way all boxers should be able to.

Barrera has said he wanted to fight again, it's not exactly like Oscar's putting him in a ring against his will. He wanted to go out on top against Pacquiao, that didn't happen, so he's looking for a different route to go out on top. And for Barrera there would be no better way out than to beat David Diaz, the man who retired Erik Morales, and retire after that.

I'm excited. I think it's BS that it might be PPV too, but after watching the Pac fight again, I dont think Barrera is necessarily shot. He's past his prime but he's good enough to still give it a go if he wants to. This isnt Holyfield, Barrera can still throw down with some good fighters, just not the elites.
