Cotto just beat SSM ..Floyd openly stated he wants none and Dela chose Floyd, so yeah he's fighting Gomez and then Margarito.

um, last year they were gonna fight in June. Marg lost to PW so it fell through. Cotto fought Judah then Mosley..MARG fought Schlong.

They want to put Marg against Judah on the undercard and put Miguel and Gomez as the headliner to promte Cotto/Marg (pending they both win) in June .

Im not trying to get in the middle of this verbal battle, but i just want to say that Cotto is getting plenty of **** for taking the Gomez fight. just look at some of the thread titles about that fight. that being said, i dont think he should be getting that ****. the only fight that would be available for when he wants to fight would be against Cintron. I would love to see it, but cotto's fights at welterweight have all been tough fights, and he deserves a showcase type bout.

The reason i believe Floyd catches so much **** is because he wants to claim he is an ATG, sometimes even saying he is the GOAT (Bull****, floyd!) while he refuses to fight the guys that would cement his status as an ATG.

Baldomir, while he was champion so i understand why floyd fought him, was nothing more than a guy who had a headcase named zab fall into his lap,
Zab was, well, a headcase,
Delahoya is 6 years outside of mattering, and
Hatton was a 140lb guy who never looked good fighting at 147lbs.

The talent is there at 147 for Floyd to be an all time great in every fight fans eyes, but he refuses to step up to the plate. If cotto starts barking that he is an ATG, i will hold him to the same standards.
