  • Calzaghe: Rank his top 5 opponents..

There are constant debates about how Calzaghe has held a title for ten years and is undefeated. The counter to this statement is that his opposition was weak. Lets rank his top 5 opponents and consider just how impressive it really is.. This is not a thread to bash Calzaghe, i would really like to know:

    1. Mikkel Kessler
    2. ?
    3. ?
    4. ?
    5. ?

All his better opponents were his own size or bigger.

He didn't fight welterweights, little guys like Trinidad and De La Hoya like Hopkins did.

          1. Eubank
          2. Kessler
          3. Reid
          4. Lacy
          5. Sheika

I'm really not sure who should be at 5 though.

There was also Richie Woodhall, who held an alphabet title (WBC) he was unfortunate enough to come up against Joe at the Olympics and, not being Korean got beaten fair and square (quoted as saying Joe was the only person that was even close to Roy in handspeed)
