FORMER 147 paperbelt holder with NO top fighter wins and a FEW losses gives you more credibility than UNBEATEN LINEAL 140 champ, with wins over better opposition?

      Sounds like bull****.

hatton is not that active. he throws between 20 - 60 (averages around 45) punches per round, which is not really active at all. i mean, every once in a blue moon (joke intended, for all you brits) he will get off 85 in a round, but it falls off steeply after that.

Depends on the referee Hatton is as tough as Cotto both fighters chins can be questioned ,Cotto hits to hard for Hatton at 147 though & if Hatton cant take a body shot the last person u wanna fight is Miguel Cotto

          Cotto by late stoppage

Hatton is good but he is not a ww. He gets a gift in the decition of the judges in the Luis Collazo fight. Hatton is a bigger name. but in ww Hatton beats Margarito? or is better oposition than Margarito?. IF maragarito is a cherry PBF, DLH and other fighters would never ducked him like happen in his case.

This fight would be a onesided battering of Hatton. Floyd defeated him, but Cotto would destroy him as a fighter, he would beat him until there would be nothing left of him. Hatton is an exciting fighter, a good fighter at 140 and Hatton would trade with Cotto at times but I don't see Hatton lasting even 5 rounds.

What advantages does Hatton have over Cotto? Power? No. Speed? Yes, but not significantly, SSM was much faster. Technique? Are you kidding me, Hatton has no technique, in the prefight interviews he told reporters he know how to punch from different angles. Hatton just swings at you and circles, he doesn't look for angles he just tries to hit you. Defense? Hatton ties you up and swings wildly so there is no defense, Cotto's defense isn't great but he was able to stop a lot of SSM's punches which impressed me

Surely a tougher opponent than Margarito if you are Mayweather.

Styles make fights. Margarito would not pose any problem for Mayweather, only a 0.1% chance of getting KOed. Hatton had most of the things you could desire to put in a ring against Mayweather, too bad it turned out Mayweather is also a great on the inside and can fight rough and smart as Hopkins.
