guys please come on. Hatton would look bad with every top5 welter. Remember Luis Collazo. Hatton recieved too many punches and he never has a fight with a guy with the power of Cotto. Cotto is bigger, Stronger has more boxing abilities with no doubt about it is a better fighter. Hatton would not assimilate Cottos hands for more than 4 rounds. If floyd would have more power in his hands the fight would finish in three.

This would be a great fight as long as it lasts.

At 140, Cotto would not have been able to keep up with Hatton workrate, and would tire and get stopped late.

At 147 Hatton would not be able to cope with that 10 pounds disadvantage, and would get worn down and stopped late.

These fights would be nice to watch, Cotto's advantages would be his cool head and disciplined fighting, both in terms of style and strategy. Hatton's advantages would be his speed, his lateral movement and the use of angles in his offense.

I think two of the fighters' main assets (Hatton's ability to close the distance and Cotto's ability to cut off the ring) would be useless in this fight, as no one would be running away from the other.

Torres nearly ko Cotto at 140 why not Hatton?

look at the size of torres and later hatton sizes. Other thing is that Torres is maybe the hardest hitting man in the divition and is a ko especialist. Look at his record right know and when the fight happen. everyones that doesnt have caution with torres hands can be ko easily. Hes not the best boxer but hit very hard. Hatton in 147 cant ko my grandmather.

Because Torres is a better puncher than Hatton. Not a better fighter, but a better puncher.

At 140 or 147 this fight ends in a late knockout. The only difference is who is on the recieving end. Hatton is far too active for Cotto to just brush aside at either weight and Cotto is too strong for Hatton to overpower at either weight so we would be looking at a classic, but we know which fighter is strongest at which weight.

This is a thread created for Floyd fans to downplay Cotto. And Cotto right know is going is to have a tune up fight to get maragarito later. Yeah a guy that if he beats give him more credibility as a boxer than a win over Hatton.
