IF THE FIGHT HAPPENS.... i believe sincerely, this time pbf will have more control... and that will include fighting at 147 for floyds belt... which only makes sense... and i think it would be MUCH more entertaining, as far as floyd being more offensively dominant, against a 147 pound oscar rather than a 154 pound oscar...

I totally understand the boxing guru not wanting to see this fight again... as id rather see cotto or pwill at this point... but it the guys gonna make 25 million... i mean... id do the same thing again too lol

With Sr. involved now, I do. He's going to be trying to convince the world only HE has the recipe to beat Floyd Jr. Real boxing fans know that Oscar can't beat Floyd. However, so much drama makes for good numbers.

      1. Floyd Sr. vs. Floyd Jr.
      2. Roger vs. Floyd Sr.
      3. The "Goldie" Scandal

That is a lot of drama. It sells.

If this rematch is a really really close fight the decision will go to Oscar. This will set up a HUGE MEGA Trilogy finale that will shatter the PPV record set by the 2nd fight(Yes i believe the rematch will top the 1st fight due to May Sr and a more aggressive promotion)

Oscar and Floyd will make ton's and tons' of money in this trilogy.
The casual fan got burned by their first fight and won't pay for a second...

i agree with that... BUT if they do bring in Senior....to train oscar... and all the commercials for the fight just show senior saying "the difference is, i taught him everything he knows... and i know how to beat him" that could lure fans back into it... for different reasons... but sometimes the student is taught so well, he becomes better than the teacher... and in this instance, floyd was taught so welll... he has the answer to all questions... and i just dont think oscars 1 fight a year mentality has it in him to pull it out...

in a nutshell... if the fights at 147... itll be more entertaining... but id rather see floydvs cotto.... but id also rather see floyd fight period, then taking a 2yr vacation

I'm a real boxing fan and Floyd didn't come close to convincing me that ODLH can't beat him.

What was the overall reaction to the fight? From a casual fan is where I'm asking. Because the fight wasn't that bad.

I think that a lot of people were disappointed in Oscar's performance. From what I saw from people I know, a lot of casual fans simply did not expect ODLH to lose. Floyd did what he had to do to take it on points, but the fight didn't come close to meeting the expectations set by the huge promotion. If you were a Floyd fan, then the fight wasn't bad, because Floyd did what he generally does. If you were an Oscar fan, you had to be hugely disappointed by the way he fought, especially down the stretch.

I don't think that the rematch will do as well, simply because there will be so much written prior to the fight talking about how much of a bust the first fight was compared to its promotion. Sixty bucks is a lot of money for a fight, especially for one that holds little promise of sustained back-and-forth drama.

How a Floyd fan could defend this decision is beyond me! This is a "money" fight, and a "money fight" only! This does absolutely NOTHING for us fans. Floyd is the so-called WW champ, so why not defend that title? The WW division is the HOTTEST division in boxing right now, yet Floyd wants to rematch Oscar! Fking pathetic!.

Can any floydboy here give me 1 reason why they would rather see Floyd fight Oscar as oppose to Cotto?
