I'm thinking we are headed for a Golden Boy vs Pretty Boy Trilogy...

The money is just to good top pass up for them. The 1st fight was close and it made a ton of money. The 2nd one will be even closer than the 1st, and with Mayweather sr in oscars corner the drama/promotion machine will match or top the 1st fight.

If this rematch is a really really close fight the decision will go to Oscar. This will set up a HUGE MEGA Trilogy finale that will shatter the PPV record set by the 2nd fight(Yes i believe the rematch will top the 1st fight due to May Sr and a more aggressive promotion)

Oscar and Floyd will make ton's and tons' of money in this trilogy.

im sick of hearing about ****ing money

floyd should be fighting for his legacy not the money. he's a multi millionaire. at this stage any big fight will generate enough money to justify the fight. he is 30 years of age, not 35. the prime of his life. the fans dont want to see a second odlh fight, its bull****

You really think its gonna make as much money? I mean I don't think it would get as many buys as the first, and most people already know what type of fight its gonna be.

I can see the second fight making money, but if Mayweather beats DLH again, it won't make much money for a third fight I think.

Isnt there supposed to be some order to boxing?

They should make a ppv only no belt celebrity elite boxing league and let the real boxers climb up the ladder and fight for/defend their belts.

Your underestimating the drawing power of Oscar De La Hoya combined with Floyd's P4P status + Mayweather Sr vs Floyd and Family.

Golden Boy Promotions promoted the 1st fight extremely well and this the 2nd fight they will crank it up even more. People say they won't buy it now but as the drama starts building and 24 / 7 kicks off the itch to buy will be that of a crack addict.

Right now in the Sport of BOXING their is no bigger event than Golden Boy vs Pretty Boy.

it will pay well but probably wouldn't do as good as the first one, a trilogy would be more likely if DLH wons the second

See thats the thing i believe if it's close the decision will go to Oscar. Then we will be ready for an event of a life time. The Trilogy finale would be so big that it's hard to imagine the PPV numbers it would do.

I can see DLH doing better but I don't think the decision will be very close. I understand what you're saying though.
