Ok, Pavlik is a good fighter and has the potential to be great. If he stays at middleweight, there is no doubt in my mind that he is going to be a long reigning champion. But going up two weight classes and fighting a natural light heavyweight champion that is an elusive slicksouthpaw is something that i just dont see happening. Pavlik could land something crazy no doubt, but the odds are just too stacked against him..

Pavlik and Dawson are two of my favorite current fighters. I would have to assume that Dawson is too big for Pavlik right now.

They both are really good fighters to me. I would much rather see them fight other people.

Dawson would destroy Pavlik, Pavlik's way more skilled and is alot bigger naturally.

Pavlik isn't hard to hit but Dawson is. Pavlik wouldn't have anything more than a puncher's chance.

At 175, I'd have to give it to Dawson by UD. But Chad was fighting 160 less than 3 years ago, so he could probably still make that.

To be honest, they're both still fairly green and untested, so it's hard to tell. I think Kelly has faced the better comp so far, but it's close.

Why don't people realize that fighters cannot jump up two weight classes and not lose something?

Does anyone think Mosley hit as hard at 147 as he did at 135?

Dawson gets the decision in this one. He really is probably too quick for Pavlik.

Bad Chad Dawson was fighting at middle a few years ago. Kelly has had a few fights at super middle. the transition to light heavy will allow Kelly to keep his power.

Kelly is 6'3..most light heavies aint even that big.. he will adjust fine, probably his more natural weight.
