Bait Thread: Dawson vs. Pavlik at 175

well if Pavlik was to drop CD like Adamek did, he would more likely stop him. I dont know who would win this. I would need to see Kelly at 175 first to get an idea of how he would do. CD is a good boxer and can spin his way off the ropes or out of trouble. but he was dropped by a light hitting Eric HArding early in thier fight and then again against Adamek. IMO Kelly , although a middle weight. has more power and his a better fighter then Adamek

I really wonder why people count the Harding fight like it was a real knock down? He was off balance and got caught with a weak jab. Also, i doubt that Pavlik hits harder than Ademek, Pavlik would be making a leap up 2 weight classes so his power would not be as effective as it was at middleweight.

I really wonder why people count the Harding fight like it was a real knock down? He was off balance and got caught with a weak jab. Also, i doubt that Pavlik hits harder than Ademek, Pavlik would be making a leap up 2 weight classes so his power would not be as effective as it was at middleweight.

it was a stiff jab that knocked him down. his feet werent tangled and he didnt trip. he got knocked down. it wasnt an off balanced shot either.

was a REAL knock down. and Kelly hits harder then Ademak. he wouldnt lose power going to light heavy..maybe crusier or HW. but he is almost 6'3

Dawson by decision, but I'll go out and say he stops him late. Pavlik would get hit...a lot...and he'd fall over...and he wouldn't get back up.

He'd clip Dawson sooner or later. Wheather or not Dawson could take his power is another question. I submit that he could not. I do think Dawson has excellent skill though.

Please, watch the fight before you make asumptions. You are speaking to a 100% Dawson fan so i know what i am talking about. Do you really think that Dawson would be knocked out with a soft jab? Look at his face when he was knocked down, he looked like what it was, just flash knockdown from a weak jab. He was not even fased. Pavlik does not hit harder than Ademek, Pavlik would be going up 2 weight divisions and would fighting at Dawson weight. Dawson is also the bigger man because he is 6'3 and has a lot more bulk to him than Pavlik does.

regardless if he was fazed he was KD from a weak jab... then dropped LATE in a fight with ADAMEK.

BULK ISNT what gives you power. Dawson is a good fighter and im not saying he isnt im just saying that if Kelly were to tap that chin i think he go....
