Agreed with Truthvito. I don't think he's overrated but people who say he would beat anyone in history is overrating him. His victories are still impressive even though some of the fighters he fought don't deserve to be in the same ring as him.

Good post, 100% agree. People make him out to be a god based on that James Toney fight. Well, I think Peter Manfredo coud of beaten Toney on that night he was so bad. As you rightfully said Toney also went on to lose his next few fights after he fought Roy too.

i think you should do some homework mate. before calzaghes hands started playing him up he was a very good puncher, and still punches hard enough to keep guys like kessler off him for 12 rounds.

the facts are that roy jones was a great talent. but he never faced elite competition, he failed drug tests (which is shameful), and he has been brutally knocked out twice which only adds to the speculation he was hiding a glass jaw all along hence he never fought top guys
