You guys need to CALM THE **** DOWN about COTTO-GOMEZ

I posted this in another thread but here it goes...

Cotto is going to beat the **** out of Gomez! Floyd was taking easy fights after the Castillo scare until he fought Gatti or Judah depending on who you ask, so give him a break! Cotto just got out the ring against Judah & Shane & has been fighting damn good opposition...

I'm in no way defending the match-up b/c i'm like everyone else i want to see the best fighting the best, but in the days of greedy networks & promoters most just want to "milk" the cow & not risk the chance of getting beat...

It's just a tune-up 4 the proposed Margarito (if Judah doesn't de-rail the train) Cotto fight in the summer....it could all change if De La Hoya pulls his number though!

I WANT ZAB TO WIN... i love zab... unfortunately... my confidence in him fighting a hard 12 rounds against another elite fighter is totally **** right now.... what happened with baldomir? margarito would kill baldomir... altho he wouldnt knock down the granite chinster i think he would totally overwhelm him.... trust me man i wanna see the zab we all know he COULD be... but im going with probability on this one

Does anyone praise Floyd for fighting Sharmba Mitchell to get used to fighting a quick-handed, counterpunching southpaw, who is a lot like... Zab Judah?

Judah would outbox Marg just like Floyd outboxed Baldomir? What happened when Judah fought Baldomir? Exactly. Lets not compare Floyd to Zab Judah they are different.

Mayweather doesn't fold under the pressure, Zab does. Judah is a good fighter, even a great one, when he fight someone without much power or a chin. I think Margarito is the worst possible match-up.

Of course there is a possiblity of Judah outboxing or severely rocking Margarito but that chance is slim because of Judah's weaknesses and Margarito's strenghts.

the problem with that is... baldomir isnt as good as margarito, and zab isnt as good as floyd... but i still stand by what i say... i hope zab proves me wrong

Gomez is a decent enough opponent to make a good match. blue collar type fighter, tough guy, decent skills. At leat Cotto is fightig, personally I like to watch my favorite fighters fight rather than watch them quote silly things to press agencies.

In all fairness homie, I like Zab but as the fight progresses Zab usually gets mentally weak. I'm hoping Zab beat Margorito myself but I must keep it real. If Zab doesnt be mentally ready for this fight he will end up losing (just my opinion)

That has been Zab downfall, he loses focus. Hell, talent wise, Zab is one of the most gifted boxers to ever lace them up. He has nice speed, with some dynamite power. He needs to focus more then he can be on the elite level again but dont get it twisted Zab is still the **** man. YA DIG
