Agreed... I don't know how any Mayweather fan would want to talk **** on the Mosley victory for Cotto.

Mosley = old. So is De La Hoya.
Mosley decision = slim. So was the De La Hoya decision.
Cotto looked bad that night. So did Floyd.

What can possibly be gained from talking **** on the Mosley victory?

not to mention, de la hoy and mosley are hard to look good against when they are fighting someone their size.

Yeah... Only Winky and Vernon have made Mosley look bad, and he didn't look so bad in the rematch, either time.

De La Hoya has really never looked that bad. He definately had his moments against Hopkins.

I get a real nice chuckle out of people who think Floyd Mayweather can hurt Miguel Cotto.

He might win, but u cant just SAY he's gonna win, hes gotta actually do it!!!

Cotto would have a VERY real shot at beating Mayweather, he has every single tool that troubles Mayweather. The left hook, and the stiff Jab.

If Mayweather wins every round, he would look terrible doing it cause Cotto has that effect of his opponents

Mayweather will eventually lose, then what will you do? Probbaly turn on him.
I think Miguel Cotto would beat Floyd down if he can run faster than Floyd "Fake Persona" Maywether. If anything he can certainly dance better than Floyd!?

this is just one of those things that have to happen, too many smart asses on here throwing smart ass remarks so we just gonna have to wait until they throw down, IF they ever do. bottom line is I pick Cotto but people will always have some ****** **** to say, lately as I been peeping threw these threads I been seeing guys just disregard Mosley, **** on him like Cotto beat a nobody, dissing him before even naming him on some "a shot Mosley" or "a destroyed Mosley" which is bull****, even at this age Mosley is FAR from shot and is still VERY dangerous for anyone, Cotto didn't knock him out but neither did Vernon Forrest who is bigger and stronger than Cotto, Mosley is just a tough dude but smart asses will always look for reasons to downplay Cotto and likewise to people who do the same **** for Mayweather, I like BOTH I just pick Cotto but I realize now that it makes no sense to debate and go back and fourth with people who ain't trying to hear nothing.. until they actually throw down this is all opinion and opinion isn't facts, my opinion is Cotto wins the fact is I wont ever know until they fight but I ain't about to sit here and downplay neither fighters recent opponents because they have been tough challenges.

It's OK to say mayweather will beat him but to say he's going to whip him like he did to an undersized and less skilled Hatton is a hyperbole. Much less hurt him, Cotto can be hurt like anyone if he get hit in the temple but Maywetaher doesn't have the power even with punch accumulation to hurt Cotto.

LOL @ ALL the MORONS, who are talking as if Cotto was an improved Hatton.

It's NOT the case. Good luck basing on that your prediction of how Mayweather-Cotto will play out and the final outcome.

Cotto would most likely crush Hatton at 147 because he would be about 10 pounds heavier by fight night. Just as Cotto would have most likely been unable to take 12 rounds of Hatton at 140.

They are two different fighters, each has his strengths, and his weaknesses.

Cotto is great at cutting off the ring, Hatton is great and getting in range, and doing so on obliquous lines.

Cotto has a very good form offensively, and some defense. Hatton throws from all angles and has more side movement.

Cotto switches on the inside, Hatton is one of the best at fighting in and out of the clinch (yes, that's boxing too).

The fact that you did not see Hatton doing what he usually does when he was in the ring with Mayweather, should tell you something about Mayweather, because that's what happens to all of his opponents: they end up not doing what usually works for them. When this fight happens, let's see Cotto's jab, or Cotto's ability at cutting off the ring. Odds are he won't look that good, unlike the Cotto bandwagoners (not his true fans, hopefully) and Mayweather Haters, I will still be defending those abilities. Mark my words, a lot of people who are screaming “Cotto!” now, will talk a lot of **** about him IF he loses to Mayweather.

And on this topic, I am getting convinced that Mayweather not watching tapes of his opponents is BULL****. There is no way he could have not being hit by a single left hook in any of the early rounds of the Hatton and Oscar fight, if he did not study them earlier: “left hook” is a label, but Hatton's and Oscar's left hook are not exactly the same punch, and the same applies to many “let hooks”. Still Floyd was able to stay away from them, and offer angles/stance which made inconvenient throwing them, this starting from round 1.
