The difference is that Holmes got up amd staggered and then wobbled away from the referee, even at the actual count of 10 he was moving away from the referee so got that extra time whereas Lewis was up at 6 and the ref waved it off at 8. Holmes was out on his feet and a modern day ref would have stopped him, certainly under the same criteria the ref from the McCall fight would have.

He could have got a bit of time, he wobbled but when he put his gloves up, he looked relatively steady on his feet. That said it's all in the eyes. Not the worst stoppage ever.Comment

You know that. How many champions have faced so many big hitters as Lewis has and only 2 knockdowns in 14 years. Haters just point to those 2 defeats and fail to look at it objectively and then claim he has a glass jaw.
