Byrd was making Vitali miss a lot and that probably caused even more damage to the arm. I'm not sure if it was a good decision to quit because there were only 3 rounds to go and Vitali could've probably won it even with one arm.

The fight started to look quite funny in the last round before Vitali's corner 'retired' because Byrd was walking forwards and Vitali was going backwards.

Here's the last round and the corner 'retirement'.

Byrd had a pretty good round there, the man should go down as a legend. Wlad did a lot better against Byrd than Vitali did, not sure if it should count because of the injury though.

Remember Vitali said after this fight that he would never quit again and he didn't. So I don't think he was too happy at his performance in this match either.

coward is a disgusting word, vitali has proven that he doesent qualify as one

as an earlier poster stated, watching the last round it is obvious something was not right with vitali, he was taking a lot of shots that he would not have normally taken (his offense was a great defense) and he wasnt throwing like he normally would

Look at the punchstats in the beginning of that video, Vitali was throwing lots of punches but was also missing a lot.

I guess it's because he couldn't punch the way he could with an uninjured arm but lets give credit to Byrd here because he was making Vitali miss a ton of punches. Not sure why there was never a rematch.

                  yea true.
i don't think he's a coward , but he might lack the warrior mentality that most mexicans have, but then again, not everybody is mexican.

                      What do I "spread"??

I either speak the truth or ask questions on one's opinion.

If one chooses to dislike, or hate, a fighter who was banned from the Olympics for juicing, who was forced by the WBC to fight his mandatory after trying to fight someone else, who tried to cut in line for a title shot but was denied that cancelled his 5th straight scheduled fight date.....then that is their preogative.
