Ike ibeabuchi had a better record in his short career than what vitali managed, he was a much bigger loss to heavyweight boxing than vitali getting injured. vitali was good no denying that but he was not great and i am sure no one thinks he is great.

Vitali is a great fighter and he would dominate in any era if he was healthy. His kickboxing career cost him as a pro boxer. Vitali has had to deal with knee and back problems since.

Every fighter has "fought" nobodies on every message board for one reason or another. The only fighters to face "real" opponents with "no excuses" are the ones who's nuts your swinging from it seems.

Vitali Klitschko was a monster and is capable of giving every great HW in history hell. He destroyed everyone he faced and he embarrased Lennox Lewis with 1 ****ing eye, Lewis retired like a coward and turned a mega payday because he knew he would get KO'd by Vitali in the rematch. (35 wins,34 KO's 97 KO%) he has an iron chin, he has never been down.

I am hoping Vitali can make a comeback and dominate again, it would be great to see the Klitschko's accomplish their goal of being World Heavyweight Champions at the same time.
          Great post!

          Vitali Klitschko:

          -highest KO ratio
-never knocked down in a fight
-only one who ever stopped Larry Donald
-nobody else had previously destroyed Williams, Hide or Johnson like Vitali did
-was ahead on the scorecards in both his losses
-hardly ever lost a round in his career

Have alway thought VK was very overrated and fought mediocre level of competition, WK is very underrated and has fought way better opposition that his Big bro...WK is very talented and for a big man can box like LL use to..VK on the other hand just fought easy opposition thus is high KO rate.

He underachieved because of his injuries, we'll maybe never know how good he could have been.

People shouldn't call fighters great because of potential, but because of what they have accomplished throughout their careers. I don't think Vitali has accomplished enough to be considered great at all. I personally think that Wlad has accomplished more than him and I don't consider him great.

Wlad is better and Vitali's KO rate isn't the best in the history, Mac Foster had 30 wins all by knockout.

You might say that Vitali had the highest KO percentage of all HW champions but he was only a title holder really.

If Vitali's comeback is a successful one he deserves respect but right now he is just another boxer who looked impressive against unimpressive opposition.

                    Danny Williams
                    Vaughn Bean
                    Corrie Sanders

                    Orlin Norris

Now wtf kind of resume is this to be considered great? Those names are all heavyweight bums and those are the bigger wins on his resume. He couldnt beat a past prime, fat lennox Lewis.

Now someone enlighten me and tell me how people would think he would give the all time great trouble or even beat them?

Ali, Norton, Foreman, Liston, Frazier, Tyson all ko him before 6 rounds.
He is far from great.....he made his name by losing to an old out of shape Lennox Lewis.....

These days, a guy that looks great against stiff competition already has a chance against some of the greatest heavyweights of all time. It makes you laugh when you realise these are the same people that say Mike Tyson, Rocky Marciano and Jack Johnson looked great against bums.
