Vitali is an all time great plain and simple. he has the goods to compete with anyone from hsitory and beat most if not all. Vitali controls Ali, keeps him at range, basically picks him apart is how I see it. Then again, late 60s Ali could be hard to hit but he would have an awful hard time getting into range with Vitali. Vitali was a helluva hwt champ, his best wins were dominant, on par with ALi vs. Williams, Louis vs. ol Shmeling, Dempsey vs. ol Willard.

& The fact he made Lennox Lewis choose retirement over a $20 million plus rematch speaks volumes.

I actually post about lots of other things. You're just too hung up on me speaking the truth about your overrated quitter hero to see when I post about other things.

Notice how you can't defend Vitali's relatively weak resume? Why don't you have a valid boxing response when I mention the truth, that results are more important than "what ifs" and "winning on points before you lose"?

Vitali was a good fighter, he had a chin, some power, he had heart (when he chose to use it) decent skills and gave us some entertaining fights. And hell, maybe he COULD HAVE dominated this weak division. But, he wasn't great. Definitely was beatable and had many flaws...

Surely then it would be in his interest to lean towards Vitali's greatness. I lost my first amateur fight. It was to the guy who went on to win the tournament who beat me. He knocked out his opponent in the gold medal round. I didn't go round telling people he was a bum. I went round telling people that the guy I lost to was really fackin good. Stands to reason.

Levi Billups has a 21-22 record and lost his first pro fight via 1st round KO to Orlin Norris.

I tend to think he'd not hold a grudge towards any one guy for beating him, especially the 17th guy to beat him.
