Stop being a whiny little *****

You made the bet with me for 20K, I thought you were a man of your word.

Just think, if Hopkins actually pulls it off you can laugh in my face and rub it in.

I really like Wlad and at all, but lets face it...his competition aint amazing.

lets count his opponents only since after those KO loses, cause uh Id say he fell down in a lot of rankings from then.
        Sam Peter
        older Chris Byrd
        Calvin Brock
        Ray Austin...
Lamon Brewster coming off that layoff and loss and a regrown eye

I mean thats ok but you know...those guys have been losing badly lately or almost lost(Sam)

I know that hes been dominating guys, and theyre decent guys and all and in title fights. but then you could go and say Edwin Valero deserves to be anywhere close to p4p rankings...

I dont care much about Sultan to be perfectly honest. its a worthwhile fight, but just for that title.
Chagaev is the guy Wlad needs to take care of. Id say hed be quite in the discussion for p4p if he took care of Chagaev, just because Chagaev has credible wins.

Irish... those dudes were very highly ranked when he fought them though.

Austin was a mandatory, so he doesn't count.

Brewster was revenge, so the ranking wasn't great there either.

Byrd was #1 ranked when Wlad beat him.

          Brock was undefeated.

Peter was undefeated, and now he is the #1 ranked WBC interim titlist.

You CANNOT knock Wlad's competition. The only thing you can knock is the strength of the division.

            Let me ask you...

If Peter would have beaten Wlad back then.. and then went of with his two wins over Toney (very impressive second)

Peter would have been GOD. He would have been the new TYSON
            You can't deny it.

Sam Peter never had that kind of a following, no one ever thought he was the new Tyson.
What they DID think was that he was the strongest puncher since Tyson. I would say that he was tolerably big.

But considering James Toney kind of embaressed and landed tons of flush counter shots and jabs on Peter constantly in the first fight...I dont think he would have been that huge.

Im really not criticizing Wlad's opponent choice, hes actually been picking excellently. not his fault no one else wants to cooperate with him. but this is a p4p list, and theres only room for 10 names on it. Its not Wlads fault, but at the end of the day he still has only been defending 1 belt, and hasnt got the chance to face many of the best in his division.

I mean, if Juan Diaz aint on the p4p lists, then theres no chance Wlad belongs there.

I think you're missing the point of the thread here..

the questions is WHAT DOES HE HAVE TO DO TO BE THERE (p4p)

Kick the **** out of Chagaev.

or if he put together a string of worthwhile victories. like maul Ibragimov, maul the winner of that IBF tourney, and then fight the winner of Lyakhovich-Valuev perhaps? If he blows them all away, that seems nice.

it depends on how he deals with them though.

Meh, wasn't he supposed to fight Chagaev in 07 but Chagaev backed out? Who's fault is that.
