You are the one whos saying Hopkins was at his best as a boxer in 1993. Even RJJ wasn't at his best then, not even near it. Hopkins had been active as a pro for 3 years and had not beaten ONE good fighter at that point, neither had Jones. Both were green.

And I didn't say all he did was come forward but he was a much different fighter back then without the experience and the level of skill he had in his prime from late 90's to early 00's.

How are you prime if you only been fighting 3 years professionally.

c'monmang' just admit it you were wrong. Hopkins wasn't in his prime and that's that.

Hopkins was a green fighter in 1993. He didn't reach his prime until a few years later.

He was still a dangerous fighter though and it was impressive that Jones beat him one handed.

He had only been a serious pro for 3 years. It was a massive step up for him when he fought Jones, Hopkins hadn't faced anyone of recognition up to that point. He matured a lot as a fighter after he won his first title against Mercado.

Unless you forgot, Hopkins spent his early 20's in prison and started professional boxing at a late age.
