He would have beendestroyed by most othe HW's of the time as well.
Fortunately for him he had the boring slow hug-a-dub-dub man Ruiz active and holding a belt.
i agree, but he said TITLE not championship. and as much as Ruiz ******, he still had wins over Holy, Rahman, Johnson...who else was there except Lennox Lewis?

Next up, reggie johnson who beat steve collins was completely dominated by jones who knocked him down three times and mercifully let him make the final bell.......get real divad jones beat toney and hopkins handily so why the rematch? Nunn was finished by the time jones emerged as champion at 168. lets face up, your right there are no certainties in boxing but jones would have been a big favourite v calzaghe for good reason, just admit that in all likelyhood jones would have won. as for the title of this thread...what a ****in joke
you have basically dismissed all those fighters chances as Roy did'nt need to fight them cause he would have been favoured to beat them regardless & the people that beat them Roy beat easily

great way of side stepping oponents lol & proclaiming your greatness

was Malinga favoutire to beat Benn probably not but guess what styles make fights thats why sometimes u get competitive fights that are'nt supposed to be ,Roy would have found that out if he had faced these champions

as for dismissing Griffin u know Roy was being outboxed dismiss it all u like he did KO Griffin but that just proved that Roy was not as unbeatable as people think Griffin did'nt have electric hand speed but he still got to Roy

u need to get real Paulie Seriously LOL

i agree, ruiz is not a great heavyweight but he also wasnt a complete bum with wins over good fighters. its the manner in which jones, a former middleweight, did it, it was a fantastic display of boxing where he was never in trouble yet shook the much heavier ruiz

Who the hell can't beat Ruiz? That was a paper champion if i've ever seen one, tailor made for Roy too.

Jones was ahead on 2 of the 3 scorecards and he knocked Griffin down before the DQ. The rematch erased any doubt anyway.

Griffin was a good fighter, he gave Toney all he could handle both times they fought.
