What happened to this Jeff Lacy?

I like him i really do, i hope he can come back I think physically he's fine he just broken mentally. Manfredo is worse than Reid but lacy just wouldn't throw but when he did land manfredo felt it.

Three things, one more an observation than anything else.

1. Lacy was a good fighter who could ****, but the plaudits that were given to him for beating Reid was over exaggerated, Reid was way past his best and at 34 was not the fighter that won WBC and WBA titles, who had Lacy fought prior to Reid? Pemberton???

2. Lacy suffered a terrible shoulder injury, almost career ending.

3. Most importantly, Lacy climbed in with Calzaghe as the slight favourite but climbed out realising that he was completely out classed and not even in the same league as the top fighter in his division, therefore it destroyed his confidence.

Lacy will never be more than an average fighter. He was broken down mentally by Calzaghe and those scars dont heal. Hes lost confidence in his ability and cant even look good against bums like Manfredo, I'm afraid Jeff Lacy is finished.

He used to be a truck pre Calzaghe. If Calzaghe only beat him slightly I gurantee you it would be considered a better win for him because now everyone makes out Lacy was a bum. He's only a bum because Calzaghe made him that way!

Mentally he is shot. I don't know if he can get back to the top but the mental part of this sport, which is as much if not more important than the physical, is SERIOUSLY lacking on his part.

what happened is that lacy stepped it up in class, big-time, against calzaghe and got dominated.

he's not the same physically (shoulder) or mentally.

Lacy wasn't all that good to be anyway. His defense ****** and he threw way too many wide winging shots. Rubin Williams was tagging him at will and Lacy looked rather bad against Sheika too.

I agree with that. The only thing less impressive than Lacy in his last fight was Manfredo. He looks like damaged goods now.
