Why is Floyd not vacating his WBC title?

I tell you why. Because he isn't going to be retired for very long. When he won the Jr.middle WBC title, he vacated it almost immediately and Forrest-Baldo fought for the vacant title in a couple months because he knew he wouldn't fight there again.

It's now been a months and he is still the WBC champ. This tells you that he has a good relationship with the WBC. No accident he kept winning WBC titles weight class after weight class. Suliman knows that he will be back soon.

unification is pretty hard to do e****ally if you got all this belts organization are competiting with each other rather than working together.

and many people dont wanna believe that Floyd goes only for the WBC belt. He even won the IBF at WW and then vacant it.

I think the WBC belts he hold it dearly to his heart. like he favoured the WBC belt over other belts the WBC is returning the favour

      1) Floyd will fight Either Cotto or DLH again in 2008 imo. Prolly Cotto

2)The wbc loves floyd, they made him emritus champion at 154, floyd has said many times in interviews he only cares about the WBC title as he calls it the 'official belt', which is why he went after it in every weight class he fought in.

The World Boxing Council DOES NOT mandate you to fight your mandatory or any top contender, and on top of that, there is no rematch claus. So what that means, is the WBC Champ and pick and chose who ever he fights, unlike the WBA that you must fight the #1 contender.

This is how it works with the WBC and Floyd. WBC champs like Oleg Maskaev who depend on that belt get forced into mandatory fights. Floyd does not depend on any of these belts. But he likes the WBC and the WBC likes the sanctioning fees that Floyd brings to the table. He has a good relationship with them. When he didn't plan on fighting at 154 again, he let them know and they vacated the title and let Baldo-Forrest fight for it.

Right now they're holding out because they know something we don't. They probably asked Floyd if he really will stay away for 2 years and he said NO.......and now they're being patient because they want that $$$$ when he signs up in 08.

isnt that belt who didnt give to Baldomir after he won it and later they told he should pay the fees?

                  similar to the IBF.
