I agree, for a person to say a boxer is scared of another boxer is foolish. Anyone who's got the stones to step in a ring and go toe to toe with another dude is a real man in my book. Writting these kinds of comments on a boxing forum is not... I dislike Floyd Mayweather with all my heart, but he ain't no coward, I much prefer the term "ducking" than being scared.

So what do you call it when a fighter turns down $8 million for a fight only to take another fight for half that much? I call that cowardice.

What happened is he waited for Hatton to be exposed by Collazo as a welterweight and then forcing Hatton to fight him at welterweight. When Hatton looked like a killer at 140, Mayweather wanted no part of him.

i totally agree.... floyd has proven himself time and time again... if he doesnt fight, its because of money, not because hes scared.. have u ever listened to floyd... hes gotta be one of the most confident fighters ever... floyd knows his capabilities, and he knows how to handle any style... cotto IS NOTHING SPECIAL.. hes a real good fighter... but hes not the caliber of floyd, cotto just doesnt have a following... oscar is way bigger than cotto, and hits harder, is just as fast... floyd was right in his face, and then he backed it up on fight night... fear is not even apart of it...

How did PBF want no part of Hatton at 140 when PBF was at 140 he offered Hatton a fight more than once and more than once Hatton and his camp said they weren't ready yet. So in turn when Hatton was finally ready why should PBF have to come back down to 140 when he has been fighting at 147 to appease Hatton when it is PBF who is
P4P#1. Hatton should have had to come to PBF which is what he did and I respect that. By some peoples way of thinking I guess De la Hoya should have came to PBF when De la Hoya was the one being chased.

You turn down 8 million because you know that all money ain't good or smart money. People have plans and obviously PBF had a plan and too me it seems to have worked perfectly. While Margarito can barely make 1 million for a fight PBF makes 20+ million and is now the face of boxing. So who do you think is smarter?
