The one round where Shane got on his toes and "boxed" Shane did little to no damage. It was a very nondescript round and I even remember boos from the crowd. You say Cotto only "looked good when Mosley stood in front of him," but how about Round 11 when Cotto won the entire round by fighting off the back foot? If anyone was being outboxed in that fight, it wasn't Cotto.

I still think there is a big chance that cotto's chin will get exposed.
Cotto aint Ricky Hatton man. Big difference in not only size, strength, and power..but style and versatility too.

How would he fair against someone with a good jab.

Cotto seems to be the easier option, he is too slow, has a questionable chin and would get UD'd or KO'd.

Alot of people see Cotto as the danger man at Welterweight. I think Williams and Cintron are more dangerous.
DUDE COTTO HAS THE BEST AND HARDEST JAB AT WELTERWEIGHT RIGHT NOW.......AND SLOW .....YEA RIGHT ITS ALL ABOUT TIMEING AND YOU SEE WHAT HAPPENED WITH MOSLEY.....COTTO IS NOT SLOW.........HE CAN ADJUST TO ANY SPEED .......HE FIGHT SLOWER WITH SLOWER FIGHTERS AND ADJUST HIS SPEED AND TIMEING WITH FAST FIGHTERS...........COTTO WOULD BE A BETTER AND MORE DANGEROUS FIGHT FOR FLOYD THEN HATTON WOULD EVER BE!!!!I LOVE FLOYD BUT WE NEED TO SEE THIS FIGHT HAPPEN

COtto is easywork for MAyweather, as far as Williams, I don't think he can do it. Williams will give him or Cotto their first loss

i think williams would be tougher style wise for floyd, but cotto is by no means going to be an easy fight!

-Clean right hands from Floyd early being the telling punches on the scorecards as Cotto gets started too late...

-Floyd using his guile, stamina, mental toughness and ring awareness to dictate the fight in a smart showing.

All I hope is that these guys prove what's really real with it in the ring later this year.
As I posted in other occasions, this one is not on top of my wishlist, I wanted to see PBF fight, and I knew that would happen in the Hatton fight. As far as PBF goes, that was my dream fight.

Anything can happen in boxing, though. And if Cotto can make Mayweather fight a fight and not a chess match, without being frustrated and losing punch variety, it could look really good, as with Cotto's size and power Mayweather would need to dig deep and take risks. Mind, making Mayweather fight the fight you want to fight is not an easy task by any means.

I DO think it is going to happen after Cotto fights Oscar.
