    Wladimir Klitschko

In 2007, Wladimir Klitschko originally planned to fight a third time. However, he had a contract with HBO, and a third fight didn't fit into their budjet. But, they offered to televise a third fight, if Wladimir would be willing to fight on a PPV.

But because Wlad doesn't believe in PPV - he thinks it's not fair to his fans - he decided instead to not fight during the last few months of 2007.

Wladimir is a one of the classiest people in the sport of boxing. How many others would put the interests of their fans ahead of making money?

You can't say enough good things about him as a man.

But also there was no one to fight.

If the right opponent and the right payday were around, you can be certain Klitschko would believe in PPV.

This is what I would be interested in: If a Top fighter comes along, will Wlad really not do PPV? He just hasn't fought anybody worthy of PPV yet, so we will see in the future. I just couldn't imagine someone turning down a fight worth 20 million. Sure, not everybody can be bought, but it really isn't being "bought." You are a fighter and it's not a bad thing to do a PPV once in a while when you are fighting another big name/opponent.

If he made 20 million in a PPV fight, it would be cool just to do a regular TV spot fight.

I don't think he's against that. A PPV in a non-competitive fight is a scam. But if he gets a real superfight eventually he can donate the proceeds to UNICEF

Wladimir Klitsckho gave $250,000 of his earnings from a fight earlier this year, to finance the building of a school in Namibia, Africa.

You can right that off on your taxes, but I'm sure Wlad has good intentions anyway. He does actually go to places and doesn't just right out a check.

I'm all for people giving to charity in exchange for a tax break, after all, it's still money going to charity. However, some charities are also ****ed up so you need to look at who is running it.

He should get a PPV, maybe the final unifying title fight. And I agree, he can still give a portion to charity which would be a bigger slice than his regular fights. He can even start building Klitschko Sports/Education Clubs for kids, if he hasn't already.
