Calzaghe is underrated.

I believe you mean a 'win' over Glen Johnson.

A wins a win, just ask Sven Otkke, another man they wanted Joe to fight.

"Even Ali would have lost to Ottke in Germany" Joe Calzaghe
      (Something along those lines anyway)

Joe the complete package as a boxer, punch, jab, speed, dexterity, chin, stamina, footwork, smarts, styles, dedication - he has them all.

A true fan of boxing should be able to see these strangths; most boxers accomplish greatness with only 1 or 2 of the above attributes.

I don't really see how you can underrate Joe honestly if you are a fan of boxing. He is excellent, you can nitpick his resume but you can't deny he is brilliant.

It is unfair, a bit like when people compare Hopkins 'superior' resume to Calzaghe with his great wins over DLH, Tito and Winky. Can you make an argument for any of these little un's beating Calzaghe??, and can you also make an argument for fights with JC and these little ones being realistically made ever?

Joe never ducked anyone apart from Glen Johnson possibly a man who has lost 10 times.

And Calzaghe would have easily handled Johnson. Omar Sheika was coming off a win over Johnson, when Joe tore up his face.

No one has easily handled Glen Johnson except a prime Hopkins when Johnson hadn't fought anyone.
He has lost a lot but, apart from that Hopkins fight, he has always gone to a decision. More often than not, he doesn't get the nod, even though he probably should.

He would give Calzaghe a good fight. Just like he gave to Roy Jones, Antonio Tarver and Clinton Woods who Calzaghe has considered fighting.

I think as far as style matchups go, Johnson would be a good opponent for Joe.

As far as style match-ups go, it would be a damn good fight. They both throw a lot of leather.

I know what you mean though, Calzaghe can keep up with Johnson's pace easier than old Tarver and Jones.

It would be a good fight in fairness, but fighting and beating Johnson does not really prove that much at all it would be a fight JC would be expected to win.
