I don't think there are any questions about Pryor's chin he took Arguello's right like no one else ever did.
Pryor's chin was medically examined and it was revealed it was two times thicker than the normal human beings, true story.

Hearns still the occasional 1 punch KO a 168, but his power not the same it was at 147-154. Same for Arguello, and anyone who moved up in weight.

Rooney was never knocked out like that, not even against the light middleweight powerhouse Davey Moore.

Listen to that blow and watch how Arguello snaps Pryor's head back with a right in their first match. It was obvious he still had punching power. Much more than Floyd Mayweather and Pryor walked through every punch.

Like I said, Hearns had the occasional knockout at 168. That does not make his power tha same it was at 147-154. Why the hell is Rooney fighting at 140, btw?

I never said Pryor does not have a hard-ass chin, but Arguello was a former featherweight (with 130 as his best weight) and already at 135, his right hand did not look like it did at 130.

I'm not arguing he had the same power but what I'm saying is he still had power left in that right hand, much more than Mayweather does.

Floyd doesn't have as much power as he did when he was SFW but he gets the occasional knockout too when someone is offering it to him (Hatton, Gatti).

If someone thinks Mayweather will knock Pryor out he knows nothing about both.

Hell I would've been impressed by ANYONE who took Hearns right hand flush even if it was at 168.

A KO is very unlikely in either direction, but remember accumulation of punches can do wonders. Both fighters have a chance at that. Pryor through sheer volume, Mayweather through accuracy.

There is probably a slight chance of a KO happening but this is about the most likely outcome which would be a decision either way, depending on your opinion.

I can't really make up my mind about who would win this fight. Floyd hasn't seen a guy that can pressure you like Pryor. Pryor was a beast who had speed, stamina, power and a chin to take Mayweather's shots.

Then again Pryor had a bad habit of keeping his hands low thus letting Mayweather counter him.

Pryor has more chance of KOing Mayweather than the other way round though I don't see one happening.

In a 15 round fight I'll go with Pryor by SD, 12 round fight Mayweather by SD.

Ok, this is a very hard fight to pick. I think a lot of people don't realise that Pryors defense was not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. He actually had pretty decent head movement and could be quite elusive. He did get caught but it was very rarely ever a flush shot and was only ever down in the first round when he was going completely wild. Apart from his third last fight obviously which was just weird.

I could actually see Mayweather losing through a simple lack of activity. He might be reasonably accurate with his counters but not nearly enough to break down Pryor like some might think. He just didn't get hit that much. He threw constantly to the head and body (or everywhere really) and he was a very strong puncher and would be able to throw for every minute of every round for the entire twelve rounds.

I think Floyds style while making it a close fight would also lose him the fight. He is a bit too defensive and being too defensive against Pryor is not the way to win against him. He would have to be his usual defensive self but he would have to fight back for the entire fight to. Against Pryor, with punches coming from every angle at all times it would be a very difficult task. He would land well but it wouldn't be the counter fest some might think. Whoever has checked out Pryors fights (more than just his two with Arguello and one with Cervantes) would know that he is better defensively than most give him credit for. Great, great fight but I think Pryor would take this one in a close unanimous or split decision. Don't forget, Pryor was never beaten (you can't count that ridiculous showing against Bobby Joe when he was severely off his face and just gave up)and he faced better fighters than Mayweather has ever faced. They might not be as good as Mayweather but they are close. Wow, I would have loved to have seen this one!!!

                      1) The bold is simply false. Mayweather had the better level of opposition through his career (obviously not at 140).

                      2) Mayweather started having a low punch output at 147. Pryor was fighting at 140 in the day of the same day weigh in, which means 135 nowadays. That version of Mayweather does not have a low punch output.

                      3) I wholeheartedly agree
