    But Ike Quartey still sucks.
Lol, Vernon Forrest fought something that wasn't his fight. Forrest probably would have won if he had done that thing called fighting instead of ****ing around.

      Ya know what. **** it.

I just read some opinions off of a forum i have used for a year now, and guys who I really respect. Former cutmen, fighters, referee's etc.

From what I remember the fight was close, but no robbery. Not clear enough. Alot of the rounds were real close.

Harold Lederman definately didn't think it was a close fight, and why the **** would he do anything but score fairly? I mean, I can understand if he is hyping up an HBO hype-job like Jermain Taylor, but a shot Ike Quartey?

What is the motivation to score it so widely for Quartey by Harold Lederman? I know the guy is a ****ing idiot, but not even he can botch so many rounds to **** Forrest out of a win.

That's Herald we're talking about here man. He has been critisized for years about his shoddy opinions.

What my real issue about the fight is simple. With Larry on that night was, DURING the bout, you never got the feeling that he beleived Quartey was winning the bout easily and was in fact very critical of him thoughout the bout.

          Ya know what I mean?

His power is average, the reason why Jermain Taylor had that huge swollen eye was because Wright hit him like 200+ times. He beat up Ike Quartey the same way and he still couldn't knock him out. His power is respectable in 154 and below against smaller fighters, but any of the other higher weight classes, the fighters will just walk through his punches. The reason why it will be hard for him to win any matches in 160 or higher is because of his lack of power. It won't faze guys like Pavlik, Kessler, or Calzaghe.

              Wasn't Taylor's eye caused by a butt?

To be honest, no. I don't even think he has decent power, he's just so accurate.

On the Hopkins-Wright bout, I think Hopkins won by any margin of 117-111 into the 115-113 margin. 117-111 seems "WTF" because it wasn't a blowout, but their were some rounds I thought could have been given to Hopkins or Wright. Point overall, I think Hopkins landed that cleaner right hand, which was the best punch in the fight and seemed to bother Wright. Wright's agression let up.

I remember Hyperion saying something about Winky's 1-2 bothering Hopkins. I'd say not really because Hopkins would hit him and then tie him up. It was an ugly fight, which I actually enjoyed, but I still see Hopkins winning everytime.

On topic of Herald Ledderman, God what an idiot. So many rounds he gives away to the other fighter. I've been watching Mayweather's whole career (thank you tysonjones!) lately and **** he throws so many rounds to the other fighter and it's like "wtf"

                  Examples:

                  - Rounds 3, 8, and 10 of the Castillo I bout.
                  - Round 1 of the Jesus Chavez bout.
                  - Round 1 and 6 of the Hatton fight.

I remember totally not agreeing on the Wright Hopkins fight. He'd be like "You can't give credit to Hopkins because he's doing all the holding jim." What the hell happened to Ring Generalship? And he said Wright was landing all the clean shots, when the matter of the fact was the majority of the punches on both sides were not that clean and when they were it was Hopkins most of the time.

That and in Calzaghe and Kessler where he gave round 1 to Kessler or some bogus ****.

The man really has his off nights. They should have press row scoring too on top of him.

DWeins, I was watching boxing regularly at this time.

The public perception wasn't that Ike was robbed. It was a close fight and the fans thought it could go either way.

The public perception means more than when something is said 2 years down the line.

To this day, I still hear people claim taht Whitaker was robbed against DLH?

No, no he wasn't. Fans just try to convince themselves that he was. The few fans that Sweet Pea actually has.
lol please...I have watched that fight about 20 times now and each time I watch it I feel sorry for Quartey, that was the worst robbery I have ever seen Forrest won 3 rounds clearly and maybe 4 rounds at the most, then got points deducted as well.
