Answer no, cuz its not the records, its the oposition that counts. If hopkins fought in Denmark or England all his life, He would be 53-0 instead of 48-4-1.
    Who is this cretin?
Obviously not a boxing fan with the MMA fighter in his Avatar.
    That would explain his ignorance.
Too many of these dumb****s on this site.

Kessler is the best he's fought and Kessler is barely an above average boxer. I'm not saying that Calzaghe is bad, but one of the best p4p? I don't think he belongs in the top 10 even. If he gets into the ring with Hopkins, Pavlik, Taylor, or Wright and beats either one of them, than he belongs, otherwise, he is way too overrated.

Don't think you have a clue

        • These ppl now saying kessler is an average boxer are taking the piss tbh, kessler was a fantastic win for calzaghe . As it stands just now bar calzaghe i could see kessler beating anyone at 168/175 even chad!

I'm also of the opinion at this stage in their career's, kessler would deal with hopkins.

          As for Hopkins " kessler who ? who's kessler ? " statement.

          Dont make me laugh.

          • Wow, so much ******ity, so little time!

            OK:

biased? I don't have favoritisms when it comes to opinions. and I don't hate calzaghe and I'm not black. so I don't know where you biased thing is comming from. and I do know boxing, you are the one who doesn't know boxing. I've watched thousand apon thousands of boxing matchs since I was 11 years old. I know boxing inside out and I know talent just from watching 3-4 rounds of one fighter. its not rocket science, its boxing.
So you've watched boxing since you were 11 years old. Good. Noted.

I have free satellite. and I am a die hard BOXING fan. I've watched every saturday night fight for the last 5 years atleast. and thats a completely random assumption considering you don't know me.
So you're a sixteen year old boy? Sixteen year old boys are the ******est people in the world, and the only thing you can do to stop being ****** if you're a sixteen year old boy is to STFU until you are at least 17 years old. My theory is that boys get ******er as they move towards the age of 16 and then become steadily less ****** as they grow older until they are fairly reasonable by the time they are out of their mid twenties. I mean I was pretty ****** at 16 and now I'm quite clever. My theory of course had no proof. Until now.

LOOK AT HATTONS RECORD AND LOOK WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM WHEN HE FACED AN ELITE BOXER
Hatton is 1-1 against elite P4P boxers.

I'll surely bet against him if he fights a top fighter NOT in the super middleweight division. cuz everyone is easy pickings in that division.
            Haha OK.

I'm a white canadian, so check your assumptions at the door
            Which one are you?

Margarito and Baldmir do have better resumes then Calzaghe.

Marg- Paul Williams, Clottey, Cintron, (trying to land Cotto)

            Baldi- Forrest, Judah, Mayweather.
Er... what? You do realise you're not allowed to count people you lose to right? Otherwise Edgar Ayala would have a decent record because despite being 0-3 one of the people on his record is Floyd Mayweather...

Just to help you I've ranked Paul William's top five wins.

            1. Antonio Margarito
            2. Sharmba Mitchell
            3. Walter Matthysse
            4.
            5.

The rest of his wins are the typical "opponents" that any top prospect is expected to knock over before he's put in with real opposition.

              Hopkins who?
Hopkins ONLY win over a guy his own size was a never that good Tarver.
Kessler & Calzaghe would beat everyone who Hopkins beat and Hopkins himself.
They would probably beat Taylor as well.
And IMO Calzaghe would have had a very good chance of beating Roy but lets not get into that right now.
For some reason people ignore the fact B-Hype has been fighting little men most of the time and lost to anyone decent his own size.
Then these same Hopkins fans have the gaul to say Calzaghe has fought nobody.
              Pure Ignorance.
But there is the fact that B-Hype is American and has "Mad Skillz" which include "Fouling".
But this "Fouling"is ok cos B-hype is just using these "Mad Skillz".

Clinton woods would never be considered an elite by any self respecting person, he got in the with one great fighter, and got absolutley spanked. Enzo Mac is not even close to being an elite fighter.

And for the final time, calzaghe has fought about 3/4 legitimate threats in 10 years, didnt fight the best of his era, didnt move up weight to fight bigger guys and hasnt ever been to america and boxed, plus he got knocked down by byron mitchell and that other bum no one cared about, hasnt been in many big fights, he isnt a draw in america and his biggest fight ever against Kessler was virtually ignored by americans despite the fight being free-to-air and on HBO prime time.
