right i agree.. i was only saying... droppin that little amount of weight COULD effect him as far as stamina... but also like i said before... i dont think it will.. hes had plenty of time to keep his weight down... he ll be fine.... u should see roy standing next to tito with there shirts off... no ****... looks like heeman standing next to a little boy

roy is only a shell of his former self, but he still beats calzaghe. I like watching his fights but, he is one of the most overrated fighters today. Theres no way that he belongs in the top 2-3 p4p. That would be exposed against roy jones jr. Cal is in one of the worst divisions right now. any one of the top 5 light heavy weights or middleweights could dominate super middleweight right now. Its only a matter of time till thats exposed. Oh and hopkins would've been the one to do it but, I don't think calzaghe should fight him after what he said even if he didn't mean it.Comment

I feel you, good post.. Roy HAS been hit though in recent years and BIG, I knew Hanshaw could fight, I like Anthony Hanshaw and I been watching him fight for a long time, he had a great fight with Jean Paul Mendy on ShoBOX that until this very day I say was close, the ametuers is a whole different ball game than the pro's.. I think Roy still has a lot left in his tank and you are 100% right when you say Trinidad should be careful to those straight rights because Trinidad's defense is very flawed, VERY flawed and if anyone I think Roy can expose that, I didn't quite think about that but Roy is the same kind of flawed, the same kind of tarnished he is just more active, I think Roy can do good if he just Boxes all night but I think Trinidad will force the fight out of Roy, Roy likes to please the fans and makes A LOT of crowd gestures during bouts as in the Hanshaw fight and I think he will slowly feed into Trinidad's fight..i disagree... trinidad had serious power at 147.. just like floyd did at 130... roy wobbled a 240 pound heavyweight....
trinidad wont have that power at 170.. and 2 1/2 years of ring rust on top of it... roys fought twice in the last year
its not roy getting hit by trinidad you should be worried about... its trinidad getting hit with straight right hands to titos open defense that u should be worried about
hanshaw was no bum, he wasnt... hes not a known fighter.. but in amaturs he beat Sechew Powell, Kelly Pavlik and Sergio Mora but lost to Jermain Taylor in the amateurs... hanshaw can fight...
and altho roy did get hit a FEW times... it was only bothersome to you because he NEVER got hit before... and although he gets hit a little more often... hes STILL evasive... its STILL hard to get to him... especially with his style.. the way he holds that right hand lead up blocking your jab... he does subtle things that people dont notice what it does til you get in front of him.. winky shut him down in his prime..... im not worried
Jones will be fighting in his lightest weight in a LONG time, it might play against him or it might not but Trinidad looks good in this weight, he looks like he's ready to go and like the layoff wont bother him, after the first few rounds we might just see a Trinidad who's back like he never left ya feel me, I notice those subtle things you menchine too but I just don't see that working against Tito, I see Tito being too much of a composed opponent to fall into those traps, he punches HARD even at Middleweight, he will punch just as hard at 170 if not harder if the weight is put on properly, notice how the only guys who Trinidad didn't knock out in Middleweight are the guys who beat him? he KO'ed Mayorga, Joppy and Cherifi it's just the other 2 brought game plans to the table that completely ****ed over Tito and Hopkins was dirty as ever, Tito STILL hits like a rock and I see that playing a BIG factor in the fight, the body punching against a Jones who might very well be drained due to the 5 pound weight loss on such a compact frame plus deteriorated in ring ability(compared to his prime 7-10 years ago) will take it's toll, I see Trinidad catching up to Jones and winning this fight..
I respect Jones 100% but I just think Trinidad will win.Comment

ring rust is a huge factor....
its like practicing and practicing... and then you get in the nfl and play a real game... its alittle faster than you thought it was... HENCE REGGIE BUSH
what im sayin is... u got 2 1/2 yrs of ring rust... and your about to get in the ring with one of the fastest handed fighters there is... STILL... at a weight 23 pounds ABOVE your most effective weight... lets just say its not the SMARTEST move, one could make.

It would be nice to see Joe fight outside the UK sometime in his career.. but its already been stated Roy is willing to fight in Joe's backyard and take 40% of the purse... but still frank warren wanted no part of it..
