I guess the lot of you didnt examine the fight against Julio Diaz. Sure, Hatton comes in, tries to muscle his way to some shots, but Juan showed against Julio that he can take a step back and throw combos from various angles. There was one point were juan thew a 5 punch combo CIRCLING around Julio, not just from in front. This is how I would see it pan out.

Hatton gets within strikin distance and Juan unleashes causing Hatton to come in fast would works for him. Of course Hatton tries to tie up so that he can get as close to the body as possible and he'll land a couple of great body shots. But if Juan really isnt affected by these shots, what he will do is just step back and land 3-5 punch combos. I really wouldnt even be surprised if Juan plays Hatton's game and is able to muscle him around too.
You're assuming that Hatton would come straight forward as he did in the latter rounds against Mayweather, but he wouldn't, he'd use his lateral and in-and-out movement against Diaz. I also suspect he is considerably stronger despite him being surprised by Mayweather's strength.

What I saw in the Diaz-Diaz fight was that Julio had a great deal of success whenever he used his feet, he just didn't use his feet as much as he should have. Hatton does use his feet, and he also throws from angles, that's central to his game. Add to that his superior size, power and strength and I could only see the fight going one way.

hatton will win this fight without too much problems, hatton loves his fighter standing right in front of him and Juan diaz is exactly that sort of fighter.
Hatton would be able to pick off Diaz who has no good head movement, Diaz with his accurate volume punches will have some success but not much to overpower a 140lb powerhouse.

I think juan wins this fight. hes pretty tough and has great handspeed. with his lack of power i see him winning by decision.

Diaz is only going to get better and his workrate is CONSISTENT throughout a fight. I say Juan by UD is a damn good fight.

Hatton is superior athletically but Juan is superior technically.

I think it would be a hell of a fighter.

Dont kid yourselfs. Juan is a hell of a fighter and a multi-faced fighter.

He can spot up and throw the jab in spurts and can really confuse you. Does he have enough to confuse Ricky? I don't know. But it's something I would pay to see.

he loses against Campbell and all of a sudden Khan and Hatton will beat him? pathetic, Hatton got his ass handed to him by Mayweather who doesnt even have good power. The only way he wins against Diaz is if he uses his dity ass tactics he uses in the UK...
