Ricky Hatton takes this one. but the question is; will he take a fight with a much younger fighter?
Juan Diaz VS Ricky Hatton @ 140

One of the fights i am most looking foward to.
BREAKDOWN
Juan Diaz Juan Diaz is a relentless fighter, he never tires. This paired with his formidable hand speed, and his penchant for punching in combinations, is what most see as his greatest atribute. I strongly disagree. Juan Diaz's greatest weapon is his power jab. It's vicious. Here is where I see Juan Diaz making a dent in Ricky Hatton. Juan Diaz also has an Iron chin. He can take shots. He has very good head movement. His footwork is superb. His power is below average at lightweight. He knocks people out with his workrate, by wearing them down. Moving up in weight to fight Ricky Hatton, a man with an IRON CHIN, could prove devasting for Diaz. However when Hatton doesn't care about a mans power, he comes in with his hands low, and bad head movement. Diaz could pop him with jab all night if this happens.
RICKY HATTON: Hatton is a skilled fighter. His hands and feet are amazingly quick. His footwork is excellent, specially when he wants to cut off the ring. He's not gonna need to do that against Diaz. Diaz isn't gonna back up. Ricky's biggest could be quicker than Diaz, and he's more powerfull. His hook to the body is tremendous weapon. His stamina seems to be second only to Diaz in all of boxing.
Outcome: All in all, I see this as a fight that Diaz probably can't win. It will be a slugfest, and the bigger man will have the advantage. Diaz will throw three punches to every one for Hatton, but that one punch could have dire effect on Diaz. What can do, however is rely on his jab more than he ever has in his career. If he uses his jab to set up a combination and the moves to the side and gets away, he has chance. If he uses his jab, throws a combination, and stays in front of hatton, he loese hte fight. if he lets Hatton back him up he loses the fight. I would expect a mid round ( 8th) round knockout for Hatton if they fought.Comment

Put it this way, Freitas is the best that any fighter has looked against Juan. No one touched Juan up like PoPo. Straight short power shots usually catch Juan flush, But even Juan ate those up from PoPo and moved through him. Ricky is a hooker (not a ********** lol) but his best shots come from short hooks, lol Juan comes straight through the middle, late rounds of a Hatton fight, as usuall...Juan's jab will start to look like a straight right.Comment

Hatton does not have an Iron Chin IMO......but otherwise pretty good analysis.I also don't see Hatton stopping Diaz unless it comes from a body shot. One of the fights i am most looking foward to.
